I am sharing a solution to a problem that I have often faced. Verification of someone you don’t know who is asking for you to “FRIEND“ them.
People can easily pose as someone who they are not, creating fake profiles.

I learned a way to nip this in the bud. Ask the person to send you a photo of them holding up their shoe with their face clearly visible. This is not something the can grab off the internet and use and nothing could be easier.
They have a phone and they have a shoe.

I used to think it needed to be a paper or magazine with the date on it but found asking for a photo of themselves with a shoe ( spoon, hairbrush, toothbrush, etc. also works )

I have used this to great effect and the scammers and posers on the other side go away. It is a small ask to verify the true identity of a person. Let me know how it goes.

I have created a new FaceBook Page that I will curate. It is Conservatory of Creativity and it is by invitation. (you are invited to ask to be invited) It is for those who are creatives, innovators, performers, designers, artists, writers, coaches, researchers, and others who expand the horizon of the populace with their works. The page turners, not the cage rattlers. (People who rattle the cage are still in it) The out-of-the boxers, the off-the-hookers, the over-the-toppers. You know who you are. The instigators, the inspired, the imaginative, the intrepid.

Isn’t it curious? Matches were once called Lucifers which literally means “ Bringer of Light “ and those who do just that, like Prometheus, was chained to a mountain and had his liver eaten daily by an eagle, only to grow back at night to be eaten again. Lucifer, cast out of heaven for shining too brightly, banished to Hell for eternity for being a harbinger of Light.
Now the rest of the story. Lucifer was also the name of the morning star, Venus. And Venus shines brighter than all the others. It was that pride of shining too brightly that had it cast from heaven. Think about it. Venus never ascends into the heavens, like all the other stars, but stays close to Earth, having “fallen” as it were. I love a good story and the stories of the stars are the oldest stories told.

There is a certain closeness about family when they all fit on one scooter. And they posed for me too. Difficult making connection on social media so it is no surprise many people feel lonely regardless of how social they are.
