August is winding down, and for many families, that means back-to-school season. If you’re pregnant or in the postpartum period, this transition can feel overwhelming. Remember: it’s okay to slow down, ask for help, and prioritize your recovery and bonding time with your baby. Your well-being matters. Here are 3 simple tips to help you navigate this season with more ease:

✅ Plan for Extra Rest & Hydration

Back-to-school season can bring hectic mornings and longer days, especially if you have older kids.
Tip: Prep easy snacks and a water bottle for yourself too! Staying nourished and hydrated helps maintain energy and milk supply (if breastfeeding).

✅ Simplify Mornings with Night Prep

Lay out clothes, pack lunches, and set backpacks by the door the night before. This reduces stress and gives you more time to care for yourself and your baby in the morning.

✅ Schedule Self-Care Like an Appointment

Back-to-school schedules often prioritize kids, but your well-being matters too. Even 10 minutes of quiet time, stretching, or journaling can make a big difference for mental health and recovery.

💛 Back-to-school is a transition for the whole family. Give yourself grace, mama. Which of these tips resonates most with you?

Whether you had a vaginal birth or cesarean, skin-to-skin is one of the simplest ways to support your baby’s transition to the world—and yours too.

Breastfeeding is natural, but that doesn’t mean it’s always easy. Whether you’re exclusively breastfeeding, combo feeding, pumping, chestfeeding, or formula feeding with intention, you deserve support, information, and zero shame. This year’s theme is “Enabling Breastfeeding: Making a Difference for Working Parents.”

Many parents face pressure to return to work quickly, with little to no access to paid leave, flexible schedules, or private, hygienic pumping spaces. The result? Breastfeeding often becomes unsustainable—not because parents don’t want to, but because the system doesn’t support them.

This theme calls on employers, policymakers, and communities to:
- Expand paid parental leave
- Offer workplace lactation accommodations
- Normalize breastfeeding and pumping at work
- Reduce stigma around feeding choices

We’re honoring all the ways parents nourish their babies. What best describes your feeding journey and what was your biggest challenge?

Take what you need today.

Pregnancy can feel like a lot, physically, mentally, and emotionally. Some days you need extra patience. Some days you need rest. Other days you just need a reminder that you’re doing your best.

You don’t have to power through or have it all figured out. Let this be your permission to pause, breathe, and choose what supports you right now.

There’s something deeply powerful about bringing your baby earthside in your own space. At home, you’re in control. You know the sounds, the smells, and the people around you. You’re not adjusting to fluorescent lights or hospital protocols — you’re responding to your body.

Choosing to birth at home means:

🏠 Feeling safe in a familiar environment
🤍 Moving how you want, where you want
🕯️ Staying in your rhythm without interruption
🫶 Being supported by people you trust
🌙 Welcoming your baby into calm, grounded energy

Home birth isn’t about being brave or alternative, it’s about listening to your instincts and knowing that birth works best when you feel safe, seen, and in charge♥️
