It was an honor to have Dr. Jong-Woo Choi, MD, PhD, MMM join us in Las Vegas as the William Zamboni Visiting Professor! We had an incredible time learning about complex microsurgery, head & neck recon, craniofacial surgery, orthognathic surgery, facial aesthetics, simulation technology, and advances in cancer treatment. Dr. Choi is a renowned microsurgeon and craniomaxillofacial surgeon, currently serving as Professor and Chair of the Department of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at Asan Medical Center in Seoul, South Korea. He is also the current President of the Society of Korean Computer Simulation Surgery and President-Elect of the Korean Society of Head & Neck Oncology. Dr. Choi earned his MD degree from Yonsei University in 1996 and completed his residency in plastic & reconstructive surgery at Severance Hospital, Yonsei University College of Medicine. He subsequently earned a Ph.D. from the University of Ulsan College of Medicine and a Master of Medical Management at the University of Southern California.
It was also a special honor to host Dr. Choi here in Nevada - home to the late Dr. William A. Zamboni, who the visiting professor program is named after, and our founder of the University of Nevada's Division of Plastic Surgery.
