Within the serene embrace of solitude, I rest in being entirely myself – barefoot, with untamed locks cascading freely. Engaging in whispered conversations with the moonlight, I discover the essence of my being, unfettered by societal expectations or the need to conform. Rather than fragmenting myself to fit into predetermined molds, I revel in the entirety of my existence, embracing the raw and unfiltered essence that sets me apart.

For it is in this unguarded vulnerability that true connection blossoms and where individuality becomes the most precious jewel of humanity. 💎

Day 14
Well I deleted almost all the pictures thinking they'd downloaded onto Facebook, they didn't. Shoot.

We left early to see glow worms, past Otorohanga to Waitomo caves. I slept on the bus a couple extra hours. The glow worms was an amazing experience where you walk through the upper cave with white walls and stalagtites and stalagmites, they showed an area that we could see the silica pieces hanging down from the worms, then put us in a boat in a dark cave where they directed the boat by pulling on an anchored rope. It was beautiful. Then we went to a Kiwi refuge and aviary. Kiwi is the national bird and they are nocturnal.

Through Pirongia and Nghiniapouri to Hamilton where we get to stay for 2 nights. You can definitely see this area as Hobbiton. Rolling green hills

Kia Ngawari in Maori means:
Be Loving, Be Gentle, Be Kind

I hope everyone watches this on Netflix about Dupont and how they poisoned our world.

ATTENTION ALL TEACHERS AND PARENTS

This is an article that needs to be repeated:
Every Friday afternoon Chase’s teacher asks her students to take out a piece of paper and write down the names of four children with whom they’d like to sit the following week. The children know that these requests may or may not be honored. She also asks the students to nominate one student whom they believe has been an exceptional classroom citizen that week. All ballots are privately submitted to her.

And every single Friday afternoon, after the students go home, Chase’s teacher takes out those slips of paper, places them in front of her and studies them. She looks for patterns.

Who is not getting requested by anyone else?
Who doesn’t even know who to request?
Who never gets noticed enough to be nominated?
Who had a million friends last week and none this week?

You see, Chase’s teacher is not looking for a new seating chart or “exceptional citizens.” Chase’s teacher is looking for lonely children. She’s looking for children who are struggling to connect with other children. She’s identifying the little ones who are falling through the cracks of the class’s social life. She is discovering whose gifts are going unnoticed by their peers. And she’s pinning down- right away- who’s being bullied and who is doing the bullying.

As a teacher, parent, and lover of all children – I think that this is the most brilliant Love Ninja strategy I have ever encountered. It’s like taking an X-ray of a classroom to see beneath the surface of things and into the hearts of students. It is like mining for gold – the gold being those little ones who need a little help – who need adults to step in and TEACH them how to make friends, how to ask others to play, how to join a group, or how to share their gifts with others. And it’s a bully deterrent because every teacher knows that bullying usually happens outside of her eyeshot – and that often kids being bullied are too intimidated to share. But as she said – the truth comes out on those safe, private, little sheets of paper.

As Chase’s teacher explained this simple, ingenious idea – I stared at her with my mouth hanging open. “How long have you been using this system?” I said.
Ever since Columbine, she said. Every single Friday afternoon since Columbine.

Good Lord.

This brilliant woman watched Columbine knowing that ALL VIOLENCE BEGINS WITH DISCONNECTION. All outward violence begins as inner loneliness. She watched that tragedy KNOWING that children who aren’t being noticed will eventually resort to being noticed by any means necessary.

And so she decided to start fighting violence early and often, and with the world within her reach. What Chase’s teacher is doing when she sits in her empty classroom studying those lists written with shaky 11 year old hands - is SAVING LIVES. I am convinced of it. She is saving lives.

And what this mathematician has learned while using this system is something she really already knew: that everything – even love, even belonging – has a pattern to it. And she finds those patterns through those lists – she breaks the codes of disconnection. And then she gets lonely kids the help they need. It’s math to her. It’s MATH.

All is love- even math. Amazing.

Chase’s teacher retires this year – after decades of saving lives. What a way to spend a life: looking for patterns of love and loneliness. Stepping in, every single day- and altering the trajectory of our world.

TEACH ON, WARRIORS. You are the first responders, the front line, the disconnection detectives, and the best and ONLY hope we’ve got for a better world. What you do in those classrooms when no one is watching- it’s our best hope.copied for hope to save more Children

Do you hate guns and want them out of your life, for good? I have decided to take a stand and help out in the best way I can think of. If you or your friends have a pistol, revolver, shotgun, or rifle looking to be removed, I will take it (permanently) and ensure that it ends up in a safe place. I would normally charge for this kind of service, but I am willing to waive my fees because I care. Free pick-up service is also available within a 200mile radius.
Private message me today so that your home can be a gun safe zone. I will give $30 gift cards to Starbucks (they are gun free, as well!) for semi-automatics, pre-WWII military fi****ms, and pre-1964 Winchesters. As a final safety precaution, I will take the ammo, too!
Also for folks who take me up on this generous offer, I will offer to you only, a fast action service to defend your lives when you eventually need protection and can't get a response from your local police because they are too busy to handle all the issues that are going to arise.
Thanks in advance.
If you're local and do have any old ammo laying around please message me and I can come get it!
Glad to be of service, this is my Public Service for all that needs it!
Private Message me please!!
If you stand behind the 2nd amendment copy and post!!

I LOVE THIS ANALOGY:
You are holding a cup of coffee when someone comes along and bumps into you or shakes your arm, making you spill your coffee everywhere.
Why did you spill the coffee?
"Because someone bumped into me!!!"
Wrong answer.
You spilled the coffee because there was coffee in your cup.
Had there been tea in the cup, you would have spilled tea.
Whatever is inside the cup is what will spill out.
Therefore, when life comes along and shakes you (which WILL happen), whatever is inside you will come out. It's easy to fake it, until you get rattled.
So we have to ask ourselves... “what's in my cup?"
When life gets tough, what spills over?
Joy, gratitude, peace and humility?
Anger, bitterness, victim mentality and quitting tendencies?
Life provides the cup, YOU choose how to fill it.
Today let's work towards filling our cups with gratitude, forgiveness, joy, words of affirmation, resilience, positivity; and kindness, gentleness and love for others.
