A big thank you to Dr. Sue Bartz and the team at The Neighborhood Veterinarian for letting us be part of the crew this week. Looking forward to seeing you all again. Keep up the great curb side service and support for your local small business community.

WVC 2020 is in the books. Logged just under 30 hrs. of CE in total. Saw some old friends, and met some new ones. Including Cindy Trice from Relief Rover. This was after closing down lectures yesterday. Last lecture on the last day. You don't have to go home, but you can't stay here. It was great to see some content about relief work in the WVC program for the first time. It always feels good to come out and recharge the brain muscle. I'm already looking forward to next year.

My Story

My name is Jeff Klemens. I am a small animal veterinarian and a 2005 graduate from the Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine. Of my twelve years of clinical experience, I have spent the first eight in two different multi-doctor practices in North Central and Northwest Indiana. The last four years have been spent working at a 24hr. emergency and critical care center in the same area. Over the past five years I have worked at several small animal practices, providing both long and short-term relief coverage. During my time as a clinician I have worked in clinics that ranged from one to three doctors, in both rural and urban settings, and with clientele from a variety of socioeconomic backgrounds. I have been fortunate to spend much of my time in practices with a very progressive standard of care. This has allowed me to achieve a high level of medical and surgical skill. The years I have spent doing emergency work have allowed me to improve my soft tissue surgical skills, exposed me to a wide array of trauma (what I refer to as my “dog vs” list), and allowed me to manage critical patients in hospital. My day practice and emergency experience have allowed me to be ready for anything that walks, or is carried, through the door. Outside of work I am an avid board gamer, lover of craft beer, and die hard Miami Dolphins and Purdue Boilermaker fan. If it’s sci-fi or fantasy fiction, I’m probably into it.

I am currently owner/operator of Reliable Relief Services, LLC. I began this endeavor to find the happy medium between practice ownership and associate positions. I enjoy working with new people and the variety that relief work has to offer. I understand the dilemma of being short staffed without having a quality back up. My goal is to provide quality, compassionate relief when you need it. I will provide clear and concise medical records that will make follow-up for you and your staff effortless. I will bring a positive attitude, and a level of husbandry that will allow me to deal with even the most difficult clients or patients.

Need a vacation? Going to CE? Just need a break one day a week? Let me become part of your team and you’ll have a quality back up when you need it.
