It's so easy it's hard for me to understand why people keep asking me how to do it but here is a foolish answer I said to a serious question...

"I'm tempted to be flippant in my answer to your question.

Forgive me but

the way to go on a almost plant-based diet would be to

not eat very much meat dairy or eggs not eat processed foods not eat junk foods
and

eat mostly fresh fruits and vegetables and whole grains along with the beans nuts seeds

and if you wanted to get really detailed you could get some spices
excluding salt added sugar artificial sweeteners and fried greasy foods."

Feel free to call me anytime if you want details. My email address is drr@clos.net

Renee Pstrong-Waugh
Good questions

My opinion is it's really simple why not eat healthy foods instead of foods meant to taste like foods that we know are bad. Certainly fake cheese and fake bread and fake meat products are better than the original on the other hand depending on how closely you look at them they're not that much better. In general anybody and everybody should eat whatever they want. I don't care. Each of us should do as we please. Just don't hurt others. Of course.

But that's not exactly the question that most of the patients here want answered. What people want to know here is how to get out of terrible trouble the people that I talk to on the phone are frequently crying people.

The people that call me are not happy. The people that call me are addicted to foods they're struggling with foods they desperately want to eat healthy but they cannot eat healthy so they eat what they know is wrong for them. What these questions are are called bargaining. You don't want to give up the co***ne. You don't want to give up the ci******es. You're an alcoholic and don't want to stop drinking that's fine I don't care if you want to drink or smoke or take co***ne. The question is what do you do to get clean. Sometimes baby steps might be a good idea but in general what the research shows is unequivocal eat better to get better. And we also know from the addiction literature and from the people I've talked to that it's hard it's very difficult so if you can use fake cheese multigrain bread or beyond meat products to make a start towards getting rid of your addictions it's fine when you come over to the other side you'll find that you don't need co***ne everyday you don't need a glass of whiskey or a pack of ci******es. Just generally healthy food actually works pretty well and if you need something in between that's fine but probably you're not going to lose much weight you're not going to get much better and my experience until you make a bigger step if you want to make a little baby step that's fine but the key to living a healthy life from most of the research that I can see as well as my consultation with thousands of patients is pretty clear and very simple. And that's to eat healthy now there are lots of tricks to get there I haven't found that fake foods artificial copies of real foods really help much but if you want to try it and let me know I'll be interested to hear it. If you want tricks and traps and how to get away from it please feel free to call me I'm always happy to consult with anybody who wants to discuss it there are tricks to get away from the traps fake versions of meat dairy and eggs I haven't found to be very successful I'm not opposed to any of it if you want to eat meat and eggs and dairy I don't care but in general they make you sick and fat and sad and they give you heart disease dementia and cancer other than that do what you want.

Feel free to call me for a free consultation and access to some tips and tricks.
