From North Lyon Firefighters Association:

To the Citizens of Lyon County,

On behalf of the North Lyon Firefighters Association - IAFF Local 4547, we are proud to offer our formal endorsement of Sheriff Brad Pope for re-election as Sheriff of Lyon County.

Sheriff Pope has consistently demonstrated an unwavering commitment to public safety not only through effective and transparent law enforcement, but through his broader vision of a collaborative, integrated public safety system that benefits every resident of our community.

Over the past four years, Sheriff Pope has worked tirelessly to strengthen interagency relationships between law enforcement, fire, and EMS. His support for interlocal training initiatives has fostered greater coordination during emergencies, improving operational readiness and ensuring that our firefighters, paramedics, and deputies work seamlessly together when seconds matter most. He recognizes that public safety is not a single-discipline effort, but a team commitment that depends on trust, communication, and a shared purpose.

Sheriff Pope has also been a visible and proactive advocate for improving emergency response infrastructure across Lyon County-understanding that when law enforcement, fire, and EMS are aligned, our residents can receive faster, safer, and more effective service. His leadership style reflects integrity, accountability, and a deep respect for those who
serve.

The North Lyon Firefighters Association believes that progress in public safety requires leaders who see the big picture, value collaboration, and act with courage and foresight. Sheriff Brad Pope exemplifies those values. We are proud to stand with him, confident that his continued leadership will strengthen the safety and resilience of Lyon County for years to come.

Respectfully,
Joseph A Mendoza Jr
