My Reading Style:
Getting a reading from me is akin to having a conversation with a close friend. You'd expect that someone close would
have your best interest at heart and thus point out the things you are blind to and/or are unwilling to acknowledge-I effectively become that close friend, nudging you in the right direction. Anyone who's ever been through a difficult time (financial, emotional, intellectual, spiritual, etc) can appreciate how valuable a no-frills perspective can be, as well as the value of knowing what lies down each prospective path. I'm able to easily break down options into language/metaphors the client can intimately identify with, allowing them to think about their situation from more angles as well as understand exactly what it is I am presenting to them. Now, unlike that “close friend” you currently talk to, I don't have any hidden agendas or ulterior motives; all I'm interested in is seeing you through your personal transitions via showing you the best routes to take (or in some cases, the best routes to avoid!) My educational background often comes into play when discussing various topics/situations; I have a heavy emphasis in the sciences (Bachelor of Science, Nursing). So I have many different types of reasoning/processing tools at my disposal, which is something that definitely sets me apart from my more “classically psychic” counterparts. The Process:
An outline of the basic procedure when getting a reading from me: I'm not into generating a “spooky” or mystic atmosphere since there's already enough confusion surrounding the validity of the psychic process. Prior to the reading, I let the client know a little about how I read and what to expect/what NOT to expect, etc. After ensuring that expectations are clear, I shuffle the cards, lay them out and begin discussing what comes up. The duration of the reading depends on the client: how in depth they wish to get, how much ($$/time) they're willing/able to spend, etc. The same is mostly true for a reiki session, though for the first ¾ of the session, you are lying or sitting comfortably and I am concentrating on applying the reiki energies, so there is little to no talking. However, after we will discuss anything that presented itself to me during the reiki portion, though it is not the same as getting a tarot reading. Often a client will elect to book a tarot reading followed by a reiki session to “lock” in a desired path. My Appearance:
I tend to dress on the more casual side of 'business casual', as I feel it allows the client to get a better sense of who I am-thus becoming more comfortable with me (I have no issues dressing up, or dressing in costume if need be for an event). Where My Ability Comes From:
Although I use tarot cards (or crystals, pendulums, palms, etc), my ability is not a RESULT of said tools. I don't generally talk to spirit guides, “god” or the dead to get the information I seek. The best way for me to describe my ability is to say it's “instinctive”. The things I pick up on just come to me. I know them the same way I know that fire is hot or that taking a shot of Jack Daniels is gunna burn. The examples I used may suggest stuff one learns by experience, and to a degree this is true, but the things I pick up on come complete with sensory data (scent, sight, taste, texture, intensity, etc). The technical terms I use are: Clairvoyant (visual), Clairaudient (auditory), Clairsentient (intrinsically knowing), Empathetic (able to feel ones emotional state), Intuitive (instinctive knowing). At this time I do not follow a specific religious/spiritual path, instead I pull what I need from various sources. If there is something that hasn't been adequately covered, feel free to drop me a line!
