So... Who's up for a ?
Maybe I should say it's more of an experiment at this point....

An experiment on creating a foundation of .

Over the last, probably 5 years or so, I have built up and lost discipline and routine multiple times. I would go all in and kill it for a while, then burn out and let it all go. Some of you, who know me in real life or have followed my social media pages over that time or longer, have probably noticed.

I have even once started a page to document my journey (Full Forge Journey) into creating discipline, a few years ago, and I let that fall off.

So, after a lot of time and thought put into how I can better develop a system to build sustainable routine and prevent burnout. Looking at my past successes and setbacks. Looking at other programs like . I've come up with what I think could be a great program to help build the basic foundations of discipline and routine. Especially for people with busy lives. I mean, let's face it, we're not all Andy Frisella or David Goggins or Jocko Willink. So, for anyone who's interested in giving this a go, join me, my good friend Matthew Brown, and a few others starting Monday 08/01, on the challenge.

The more people that do it, the more input and data I'll have to evaluate it's effectiveness and where it needs adjustment.

So, let me know who's in!! Let's do this!

Sometimes the smallest step in the right direction ends up being the biggest step of your life. Tip-toe if you must, just take that initial step.

Start with reading 5 pages of a book. Listen to one podcast. Go for a walk. Do some jumping jacks. Just start moving yourself towards the best version of you.

We owe it to ourselves, and we owe it to those around us.

Get after it! ⚒⚔️💪🏻👊🏻

Took a nice night hike up Lone Mountain last night and was rewarded with this payoff view from the top.

It was nice to get away from it all and spend time reflecting.

Any workout is better than no workout.

Back at it after a month off. Not the best or hardest workout, but I got up this morning and got moving.

A lot of stretching, stairs for 10 min, and abs for 10 minutes.

I avoided a public gym like this for a long time. I liked to workout alone.

Mainly because... well because I have pretty much no idea what I’m doing. And I was embarrassed to show up and look stupid.

I never took a weightlifting class in HS, never had a personal trainer, never had an experienced weightlifter to help guide me.

So I only lifted weights when I could do so with no one watching.

I no longer have a gym at my office that I can use, so I forced myself to get a gym membership.

I show up every day and I figure it out. I sometimes use equipment wrong. I’m still a little chubby. I have improper form and technique. But I show up and get after it.

My point is that you don’t have to be an expert to get started. Just show up and get moving, results will still come. You’ll learn as you go.

I’m not saying you shouldn’t consult with a professional. Just don’t let that be your excuse.
