Just been thinking about moments in my career as a massage therapist and esthetician that have gone above and beyond why I do what I do and I am who I am.
One such moment was while I was massaging a beautiful lady named Carol who was dying of cancer. She had given up on chemotherapy after the cancer spread to her brain and was told it was not operate-able. She saw no point in continuing the treatment. I went to her house before I was mobile. With diet and exercise and the love of her husband, she was doing pretty good managing the pain and started coming to me at Elements Salon on Water Streetโ€ฆalways with a beautiful scarf or fashionable hat that everyone complemented her on.
She knew the last time Iโ€™d probably see her after the cancer had spread once more. She told me the 90 minutes a week she spent on my table gave her the motivation to get to the next 90 minutes on my tableโ€ฆ.that those 90 minutes was the best of her week. I canโ€™t even imagine a better testimonial of my touch. She truly touched my life and made me grateful I was able to touch hers. โค๏ธ๐Ÿ’ง๐Ÿ’†โ€โ™€๏ธ

Now that Iโ€™ve moved into my new room at Solitaire Salon Suites @ 409 E. Silverado Ranch Blvd, Iโ€™ve decided to go back to my roots and grow my skincare business again! Since becoming a massage therapist 17 years ago, facials have taken a back seat at best. For the past 3 years, Iโ€™ve been mobile and only doing massage. I kept up my esthetician license all this time and now that Iโ€™m settled in a salon, Iโ€™m excited to rebuild my facial business again. Iโ€™ll also do showerless body treatments. Something Iโ€™ve struggled with my whole career as a massage therapist and aesthetician is knowing and charging my worth. Iโ€™ve only raised my prices by 10% since 2008! And for the last two years Iโ€™ve been mobile. Totally my fault! Iโ€™m too nice and just love my clients so much and want to pamper and relax to the max! But doing that, has not been doing right by me. So yes, my prices will inch up closer to what others in my industry charge. Moving into a new room in January at Solitaire Salon Suites on Silverado Ranch Blvd and Bermuda. So excited! Will keep everyone updated and update my menu soon!

My Calling

Raindrops Massage & Aesthetics has been in business since 2008! I (Raina) have lived here in Vegas since March of 1997, when I moved here from Braintree, MA. Soon after moving here, I went to school to become an aesthetician and 10 years later in March of 2007 I started my first job as a licensed massage therapist at Massage Envy. (AKA Baptism by Fire!)

Iโ€™ve been a sole proprietor/independent massage therapist for 11 years now and currently rent space at Body Spa Salon at 2490 Paseo Verde Parkway in Henderson, NV.

Although skincare has always been a love of mine, massage therapy, I discovered soon into massage school, is my calling. Massage is simply what comes naturally to me. Not only did I find massage, it found me. As cliche as it may sound, at a time in my life when I needed a new path, massage showed me the way to myself...my heart, my soul, my calling.

My other calling is being mom to the best daughter in the world and being an independent massage therapist allowed me to always schedule my work around her life and not the other way around.
