NOTA was established in the early 1970's and Incorporated in 1990. State licensure was enacted when the Occupational Therapy Practice Act was signed into law by Governor Bob Miller on June 18, 1991. The Northern District is centered around the Reno / Carson City area, and the Southern District is centered around Las Vegas.
