Mass should be your excuse for missing everything else

The Mass is not just one more event in your week. It is the worship of God and the sacrifice of Christ made present on the altar. Jesus gives Himself to you in the Eucharist. There is nothing on earth more important than that.

Scripture shows this clearly. When Martha was busy with many things, Jesus said Mary chose “the better part” by sitting with Him (Luke 10:42). The saints lived this way too. Many arranged their whole day around Mass because they knew they were meeting God, not attending a service.

This doesn’t mean you ignore your responsibilities. But it does mean you stop treating Mass as optional or something you fit in last. When something conflicts, the question becomes simple: what matters more than standing before God and receiving Him?

If we truly believe Jesus is present at Mass… what are we willing to miss in order to be there?
