I want to share something openly and responsibly, because there’s a lot of noise and misunderstanding out there. 💭

My journey with Ozempic (semaglutide) didn’t start—and definitely doesn’t end—with weight loss. Yes, it helped support appetite control early on, but today it plays a much bigger role in my overall health—especially supporting my heart ❤️ and kidneys.

I often hear comments like, “If you stop it, you’ll gain all the weight back.” That perspective misses the bigger picture. These medications are tools—not shortcuts—and they work alongside lifestyle changes, mindset shifts, and long-term health goals. 🧠✨

For me, this journey has been about healing, learning my body, and making sustainable choices. It’s not just about a number on a scale—it’s about organ health, energy, longevity, and quality of life. 🌱

We need to do better about supporting people who are actively working on their health. If you’re unsure or curious, ask questions. Get informed. But let’s move away from assumptions and negativity toward understanding and encouragement. 🤝💙

Missing all the incredible Italian flavors from my recent travels, I went on a mission to find something that hit the spot… and wow, did I find it with Old School Pizzeria 🙌

Their website alone pulled me in (you know I appreciate a good food vibe 😍), and the menu? Next level creative.

I ordered a custom half & half pizza so I could explore more flavors without overdoing it—because balance is the name of the game 💁‍♀️

🔥 Apricot Side: Apricot jam, applewood smoked bacon, pine nuts & fresh arugula
🇮🇹 Vegas Meets Italy Side: Scamorza, pistachio, ricotta, mozzarella, dates, heirloom tomatoes, arugula, prosciutto & date cream

And let’s talk about this crust… 👏
Made with local farm ingredients AND a 300-year-old starter—yes, you read that right. The flavor, the texture, the slight chew… absolutely incredible. You can taste the difference.

💡 Now here’s where I got a little strategic…
I ordered a side of their special tomato sauce 🍅 and a garlic mascarpone cheese 🤍 so when I had leftover crust, I could mix, match, and try different flavor combos. It turned the crust into its own little tasting experience!

Let me tell you… this was a FULL experience. Sweet + savory + fresh + indulgent—all in a way that let me enjoy a few bites, feel satisfied, and still stay aligned with my lifestyle.

✨ KindTables Travel Wins! ✨

Vacation dining with a smaller stomach? Totally possible—and incredibly enjoyable! 🌍✈️ This plate felt like my own mini buffet, allowing me to sample a variety of flavors while simply choosing what my taste buds were craving in the moment. 🍳🧀🥐🍍🍫

One adjustment I didn’t anticipate was the increase in calories needed because of all the walking. 🚶‍♀️ At first, it took a couple of days to find the right balance and manage a few hypoglycemia moments, but once I tuned into my body’s needs, everything clicked.

I’m so proud of the gift of growth this journey brought. I learned so much about myself, and for the first time in my adult life, I traveled internationally at my healthiest weight. I was truly a walking machine! 💪🌟

This experience reaffirmed that while the journey can be challenging, it is absolutely worth it. With mindful choices and a little flexibility, enjoying a variety of foods—KindTables style—is always within reach. 💖

Cruise dining hits different when your stomach is about 1/10 the “norm” 😅✨

Everyone says “just indulge!”… and I’m like… I literally can’t 😂🍽️

Tonight I kicked things off with escargot 🐌 (feeling fancy 💁‍♀️), moved on to tenderloin for my main 🥩, and had my heart set on the Pistachio Love Boat by Celine 💚🍰

But here’s the real win—this experience was everything because of the people around me 💕

The restaurant hooked it up with smaller portions + thoughtful options 🙌 and my besties?! Absolute MVPs for helping me enjoy it all without the stress (because yes… food waste guilt is REAL 😩)
No pressure. No weird looks. Just good food, great vibes, and even better company 🌊✨

Most people feel limited when their meal is small. We’re so used to measuring satisfaction by how much is on the plate.

But after bariatric surgery, while taking a GLP-1, or simply choosing smaller meals, the focus shifts from quantity to quality. It becomes about that perfect bite — food that’s flavorful, satisfying, and worth it.

Fast food often stops being appealing, and options like food delivery services can make it easier to enjoy something truly good in just the right amount.

If you’re adjusting to this new way of eating, stick with it. Your relationship with food is evolving, and you’ve got this. 💛

After bariatric surgery, social events can feel a little daunting. So many of our gatherings are centered around big portions and full plates, and the pressure to eat the same way as everyone else can create unexpected anxiety. You want to be present, connect, and celebrate—but your body simply works differently now.

Recently I attended a family event and made my meal from two small dessert plates. It was the perfect amount for me. I felt fulfilled, comfortable, and honestly empowered knowing I honored what my body needed.

What I also noticed, though, was that my smaller portions made some people around me a little uncomfortable. Our culture is so used to equating love, celebration, and connection with large portions that when someone eats differently, it can stand out.

But healing sometimes means redefining what participation looks like.

Being part of the moment doesn’t require a full plate. It simply requires being present at the table. 💛

Sunset dinner cruise views and a little reminder — living your best life and making bariatric-friendly choices can absolutely go hand in hand 🌅✨

The Win: a light wedge salad, baked crab cakes, and rice pilaf… delicious and intentional. Proof that this journey isn’t about missing out — it’s about savoring every moment (and every bite) with confidence.

The cruise made for a fantastic evening, made even better sharing it with a by my side — because progress feels sweeter when you’re surrounded by encouragement. 💛⚓️
