Our mission is to provide healthy prepared meals to underserved families during this holiday season. We plan on working with local businesses to facilitate this mission so collectively we can strengthen our community bonds.   ⁣
   ⁣
𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞   ⁣
   ⁣
Burn 1000 calories in a team of three for time! (Using a variety of ergs such as row, bike, or ski, or use an equipment equivalent modification that we will give out in due time!)   ⁣
* 1000 is the calorie goal for the MMM trio   ⁣
* 940 is the calorie goal for the MMF trio   ⁣
* 860 is the calorie goal for the MFF trip   ⁣
* 800 is the calorie goal for a FFF Trio   ⁣
  ⁣
No team? No problem! We will be happy to have you join up with 1-2 other individuals wanting to come out for a great workout!⁣

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐮𝐧(𝐝)𝐬 ⁣

The donated/fundraised amount per team effects your donation score ($/cal) with the calories being standardized at 1000 calories per team even if your trio is mixed.  Again, no team no problem. We will handle those details if you just come on by and join us!⁣

The event will be on 11.19.2022 at PFC CrossFit at 10am. Feel free to arrive a little early to socialize with the Vegas Fitness Community!    ⁣

3000+ calories is the average amount of food consumed on Thanksgiving, hence we are aiming for 1/3 of the calories as a team be burned to show everyone just how much effort is required to burn off the calories versus consume it. (This was the top hit on google y’all. I am aware the average calories may in fact be higher lol, just roll with it!)

Meal matrix activity!⁣

It was insightful to see most kids would opt for chicken as their favorite protein source, and even with 80% of the kids choosing chicken no 2 kids came up with the same ideal meal combination!⁣

The math of why your weekends aren’t adding up to results.

5/7 = 71%

Sure C’s get degrees… or at least that is how the old saying goes, but if you are putting in a C effort you will get C results when it comes to the body!

Sure, I hear you. This sounds like you can never enjoy a weekend! But this is entirely FALSE!

You simply need to find a way to create the habits regularly so that you can move you consistency up a notch!

If you instead look a 2 weeks or 3 weeks and take a weekend off you go to 12/14 Days or 19/21 respectively.

12/14 = 86%
19/21 = 90%

Far better outcomes. Far more manageable asks to balance your life.

A much better way of having flexibility to see the long term goals surface at a much faster rate.

Now while I am not advocating to take a weekend off I am here to point out that life happens, and that’s okay! Live a little, but know how that day could have looked with your normal plan and be able to execute it.

Another option would be to never make a day off happen on a weekend, and pick a day like Tuesday or Wednesday to have a meal out.

It is far easier get back to your normal structure during your normally preplanned week days than it is to get in the “Guess I will get back to it Monday” mentality!

Going on a year strong with 💪

The journey as of late has been more maintenance as life has taken a few great turns with her job, but each time we see updates we remember our why!

This is for health.
This is for longevity.
This is for happiness.
This is for wellness.
This isn’t for just a simple transformation, but for a transformation of lifestyle for what will definitely be forever.

All of this progress happened mainly in a restore phase! We worked on additions of foods that should be there more often to feel great, rejuvenated, and balanced.

We also made sure to keep foods fun and inviting to balance this thing called life!

This is only year one ☝️

And we’ve been able to successfully lose 20% of her starting weight without extremes, but rather creating unconscious competence!

The amount I’ve have gotten to know what drives and keeps Alyssa sane and happy has taken months if not a year, because well… trust!

As we developed a deeper relationship I know now what motivates her, what helps her stay grounded in habits, helps her stay on point with workouts, and what keeps her mindset exactly where it needs to be for long term growth and commitment.

Next is a fun 6 week boot camp with her friends and support system that helps her bring energy and intensity to her routine!

She’s about to crush it and I can’t wait to see how things continue this next year 😃

Goal: Build an awesome 40th birthday body!
Time frame: 14 months.
Number of dieting phases: 2

While the extra motivation was signing up for a challenge after a muscle building phase the goal was always to get ready for this big birthday!

It took time.
It took patience.
It took commitment.
It took consistency.

Now while the lowest point calorically is nothing going to be sustained for forever, much was learned and gained from seeing what’s possible!

Work your nutrition in phases. Spend more time building and in maintenance than chronically dieting.

Your mind and body will thank you 🙏🏻

The scale should never be the only thing measuring progress!⁣

Another story of a client putting too much stock in the scale number yet seeing amazing visuals!⁣

If you’re not taking high quality progress photos at least once a month your missing out on being able to self assess your progress.⁣

You see yourself in the mirror daily.⁣
You won’t see a daily change of composition.⁣
You will only see deviations of scale weight.⁣

Be better about your progress photos!⁣

Set a day and time that works in your schedule and capture the positions on video if you’re alone versus using the excuse your partner isn’t available.⁣

The front facing camera on your phone is likely shooting up to 4k so snagging screen shots of the paused positions will allow for great comparison shots!

Smile more!

Studies show it can effect your happiness levels. Maybe not on a level of creating it, but have you seen someone in person and have a mood complete flip as a result of a smile?

I have. And truth be told it was so hard going through the pandy without seeing facial expressions for me.

Though I may be rather stoic or “emotionless” normally it is more that I’m listening and processing a lot, not that I am stuck up or stand-offish.

Fun fact: my mind is always trying to take in new topics outside my area of expertise and experience to create more thought provoking conversations. (I blame my degree in pure mathematics which is f’ing mind bending at the highest level)

^Hence me not paying attention to my physical expressions 😂

Lifestyle matters!⁣

The journey and life you want to be living can be achieved simultaneously to your goals. You just need to be committed to yourself!⁣

•Show up daily with a plan and intent.⁣
•Create habits your enjoy thoroughly.⁣
•Eat nutritionally dense foods 90% of the time with some enjoyment about 10%.⁣
•Establish a daily routine or two (weekends may look different than your work week!)⁣
•Create a support system!⁣

Too often we can overlook how far we’ve come for how far we still want to go.⁣

For each progress photo helps her realize how much progress she’s made, but how much more she still wants to accomplish!⁣

She’s loving her current journey, and will continue to reach her long term goals through her consistency and commitment to balance!⁣
