When I was a child, we would wait until "Little Christmas" to take down our tree. My father had an Irish mother, who taught her children the tradition. I still practice that tradition.

However I seldom get to do the other tradition for this date, which is to get together with my female family members and/or friends to share a lunch. I don't do that because they are all working, whereas I have been self-employed & now am retired.

So I am sharing about this tradition with my Facebook friends instead. See the info below.

END OF LABYRINTH WALKS ... hopefully just for now.

It is with deep sadness that Jae & Connie announce that they will no longer be offering our free Labyrinth Walks at First United Presbyterian in Troy. Due to the many necessary changes going on within the building, the quiet space that our Labyrinth has occupied is no longer available.

Therefore we are in search of a new home for our Free Labyrinth Walks, which we offer one Saturday a month for 4 hours.

We need a clean, open space at least 25' x 25'. Since our walks have always been free to anyone who stops by to experience walking meditation, we would hope that we could use the space free of charge.

We do our own setup & cleanup, and we are very respectful of the organization that is kind enough to welcome us. References from other churches who have hosted are available.

Since we have entered the sign of Libra - the balancing scales - I have started to practice balancing the tone of my words. When I catch myself saying negative things - expressing anger or finding fault - I immediately ask myself, "Now what is the positive of this happening? What could this experience have come to teach me?" I have found that this has been very helpful in keeping myself more emotionally balanced. Good for me and anyone who has to be around me.

Dear Labyrinth Friends,

Due to a space problem in the room we use to hold our Labyrinth Walks at First United Presbyterian, we are forced to cancel our walk for this month.

Hope to have these problems worked out by next month & look forward to seeing you on Saturday, November 14th.
