Time for Aloha shirts and flowery dresses! Join us for our next DDT trial where we revisit All Dogs Sports Park in Lodi! 🌺

Please plan on enjoying an ENTIRE day of Luau fun. We will begin with an early morning start to our sniffing fun followed by a BBQ and cool off with some dock jumping fun. (an instructor will be there for dogs that are new to the sport). We are looking forward to the the competitors being able to socialize, talk shop and pick the brains of our judges in the cool shade of this drop dead gorgeous venue!

Detection Dog Trials USA is unique amongst the trail organizations. Besides our operationally realistic search scenarios scoring is more like certifications for working k-9s. Your team will be scored on a scale of 0-10 on multiple aspects of your team's overall performance. It is a great way to get feedback on how your team could improve and takes away the pressure of failing due to a false alert, not finding the hide or running out of time!

More exciting news! Due to popular demand we are bringing back the owner of DDT-usa, Robert Barlow, to offer another judging seminar! Anyone interested in judging, offering your own trials in your area or just want to learn more about that side of your favorite sport, sign up NOW! 🐾 Dates: July 10-12 and then you will judge at the trial on the 13th. Held at a private home in Lathrop, CA. Use this link to sign up for working spots (you will actually work your dog) or an audit spot. We highly encourage current DDT judges to audit and maintain your training.

I spent an amazing day with the San Joaquin Sheriff’s K-9 Unit today! I met almost all of the handlers and dogs and watched them train. We had a delicious BBQ lunch, talked shop, training philosophies, dog cognition and a lot of friendly banter. It was wonderful being amongst like minded trainer/handlers and swapping stories!
