I've debated on sharing but I hope and pray my story has given someone who is suffering a little hope that recovery is possible. Tomorrow I will celebrate 14 months sober. In such a small amount of time I have accomplished so many things I had set for my goals. Another one of my dreams is being answered. I will now be working as a Peer Support Specialist! I pray the Lord allows me to help others as so many helped me. I will remain humble and never forget where my journey started. As a member of AA, we believe in serving others as a way of recovering. I am beyond grateful for this opportunity.

11 months sober as of yesterday ❤️. I'm beyond amazed what God has done in my life . My biggest fear was how will I stay sober ( keep the plug in the jug) but He made a way. Instead of a mini bottle in my hand, there's a paint brush, piano between my fingers , a new hand to hold and so much more. I had none of these things when I was drinking excessively every day. I share so I can help others so maybe they won't struggle as I did.
