South Central's General Surgery Department is staffed by four experienced surgeons and equipped with the newest technology needed to treat patients for a wide range of surgical needs.

"One of the great advantages of working here at South Central Regional Medical Center is the unique closeness we have amongst the entire medical staff," Chad Saul, MD. "As general surgeons we interact with primary care physicians who are referring patients to us who have surgical needs. South Central Regional Medical Center is pleased to share some organizational updates, including the appointment of Tyler Whittington, RN, BSN, as Chief Nursing Officer and Sherry Brewer, RN, BSN, as Emergency and Support Services Officer.

“Tyler and Sherry are both proven leaders who have helped elevate the standard of care at South Central,” President and CEO Gregg Gibbes said. “We are eager to see what they accomplish in this next phase of each of their careers at South Central.”
