Linda Risdon, the founder, will forever be a student of the Horse….She began her journey of a lifetime with horses at the age of two, riding her family’s retired 33 year old barrel racing horse. She continued her education by working through her teenage years at several local stables and participating in area horse shows. After graduating from high school, she attended Centenary College for Women, majoring in the Horse Master’s Course. She worked for 26 years with Dr. Sam Castimore at his Ideal Farms in Augusta, New Jersey a breeding operation for Standardbred Horses. She has also worked with Quarter Horses, Appaloosas, Paints, Arabians, and Thoroughbreds throughout her lifetime. In Montana, Ms. Risdon taught Natural Horsemanship and was the riding instructor at New Day Ranch, a residential treatment center for at risk youth. She continues her education by following the teachings of such horseman as The Dorrance Brothers, Ray Hunt, Pat Parelli, Chris Cox, Clinton Anderson, and Ken McNabb.

What you're looking at isn't just any horse. The filly in this photo was a racehorse named Clarrie, but she had one massive problem that ended her racing career before it ever really began—she couldn't stop bucking off jockeys and exercise riders. Every single one of them. It was like she was allergic to staying on the track.

But here's where her story takes a turn nobody saw coming.

Clarrie didn't retire to some quiet pasture. Instead, she found herself in the rodeo circuit, and something remarkable happened. The exact same wild streak that made her impossible to race with suddenly became her greatest asset. She wasn't fighting her nature anymore—she was unleashing it.

Out in the arena, Clarrie finally discovered what she was born to do. That same fire that made her a menace on the track transformed into raw, electric power the moment the gate swung open. Spectators said you could actually feel the ground tremble when she launched, all coiled muscle and pure attitude exploding forward.

And she didn't just participate—she dominated.

Clarrie earned a reputation faster than wildfire spreads through dry grass. Cowboys whispered about her in the chutes, their voices carrying a mixture of admiration and genuine fear, half-praying they wouldn't draw her name. She became part legend, part warning, the kind of horse that separated the pretenders from the real deal.

But something even more profound happened along the way. The moment Clarrie realized she could actually win in this new world, something deep inside her seemed to settle. It wasn't rebellion anymore driving her forward—it was pride. She'd found her calling, and she knew it.

The racing world had written her off as untrainable, a problem horse destined to fade into obscurity. They couldn't have been more wrong. While she never made the winner's circle in racing, Clarrie didn't just succeed in the rodeo—she became absolutely unforgettable. She even set a height record for horses coming out of the chute, a testament to just how explosive and powerful she truly was.

Sometimes the world tells us we're not good enough, that we don't fit, that we should give up. But what if we're not failing—what if we're just in the wrong arena? Clarrie's story reminds us that success isn't always about conforming to expectations. Sometimes it's about finding the place where your wildest traits become your greatest strengths.

What arena are you meant to dominate?

*Quiet Authority*

There’s a quiet gravity to this moment with Splaash—the kind that doesn’t demand attention, but earns it. Against the hush of winter, he moves with purpose and patience, every step measured, every breath steady. His paint markings feel almost hand-placed, breaking up his outline like the land itself—snow, earth, and resilience woven into one.

As a band stallion, Splaash doesn’t need to posture here. There’s no fight in his frame, no urgency in his stride. This is leadership in its truest form—calm, confident, and unwavering. He carries the weight of his band not on his shoulders, but in his presence, knowing exactly who he is and where he stands.

In the stillness of this frame, Splaash reminds us that strength doesn’t always roar. Sometimes, it walks quietly through the cold, leaving nothing behind but respect.
