The impact that our AABC community members in their work never ceases to blow us away.
President of the NY State Chapter of AABC (NYSBCA) and founder of The Birthing Place, Myla Flores, had her Womb Bus featured in CBS News for its impact on families in the Bronx. 🚌🤰

The "Womb Bus" is a mobile wellness clinic that brings the services of the Birthing Place Foundation to under-represented communities in the Bronx, especially BIPOC families who experience significant systemic barriers to happy, healthy birth experiences. When the system is failing our families, the birth center community rises to the challenge with innovation and passion.

"I feel fortunate enough to kind of break that generational cycle of traumatic births," said one visitor of the Womb Bus.

My lavish mama was amazing. She tapped into her strength in the most beautiful way laughing, moaning, breathing,and even coloring through her contractions on the birthing ball. Pure power.

Her mom supported her with so much love, and dad was incredible he was comforting her with patience, effort, and a full smile the entire time. Watching them move as a team was something special.

Baby boy arrived perfect, alert, and ready to latch. Skin-to-skin with both parents, wrapped in warmth and love from the very first moment.

Welcome earthside baby boy. 🌍👣
