Just finished up this 4 day DBT PE intensive training and just can’t say enough! These trainers are amazing and inspiring and the research is equally as amazing, compelling, and impressive. I am so excited to start integrating this work into my practice. Such a great start to my new journey. Happy Sunday!💜

Today officially marks the very last day of my journey with (Penn Medicine) Princeton House Behavioral Health. While it is bittersweet, after almost of 5 years (plus some intern time), I feel grateful for the learning, educational, professional, and personal experiences that I have gained with this system. The relationships I have built, and lessons I have learned are invaluable. I feel lucky and grateful for the opportunity to take this next step to focus on building my full time private practice. Thank you, thank you, thank you, to my colleagues, supervisors, friends, and family, for your unconditional love and support. My team and my clients are truly amazing and inspire me every single day. I will cherish these, and many other, “gifts”, forever and always; the women’s program will always have a special place in my heart!
Stay tuned for new and exciting things to come from my end! 💜🙏🏼

Cheers to Heineken for creating such a powerful ad. This video highlights how powerful it can be to move away from polarity and into the world of , by acknowledging, and accepting, that we all have our own truth (and can still co-exist)! I encourage you all to pause today and take four minutes to watch this short clip.

Let's discuss on a beer !

I find this so validating.

What if I all I want is a small, slow, simple life? What if I am most happy in the space of in between? Where calm lives.

Today was our 6th and final Eat Breathe Thrive session. We wrapped up by teaching our ladies about how our nervous system works to protect us in times of need, how to slow it down or energize it when it's off balance, and how our body serves as it's very own coping skill to self regulate!

It is hard to put into words just how grateful I feel to have had this as part of my journey both personally and professionally. I am so proud of each and every participant who allowed their vulnerability to take them to new heights by discovering their inner worth, releasing the shackles of food and body image issues, and by creating new relationships with their bodies and with one another. Thank you all for teaching me, and for inspiring me. Biggest thank you to my lovely co facilitator, friend, and colleague Kate Teixeira Lcsw for convincing me that EBT is exactly what was missing in my life! I love EBT and the Skillman Thrive Tribe.

Our final step is participating in a service project together in an effort to give back to the community. Help support us in our mission to raise awareness for domestic violence by joining our yoga class on April 15th! See flyer in the photos for more details.
