A classic and hearty breakfast plate with all the essentials: eggs, potatoes, toast, and fresh fruit. Itβs the perfect start to any day!
Ingredients:
For the Breakfast Plate:
2 large eggs (prepared as desired: scrambled, fried, or poached)
1 medium potato, diced
1/4 cup bell pepper, diced
1/4 cup onion, diced
Salt and black pepper, to taste
1 tablespoon olive oil or butter
1 slice whole-grain toast (or bread of your choice)
1/4 cup fresh fruit (such as berries, orange slices, or melon)
Optional Additions:
Avocado slices
Shredded cheese
Hot sauce or ketchup
Directions:
Cook the Potatoes: In a skillet over medium heat, heat the olive oil or butter. Add the diced potatoes, bell pepper, and onion. Season with salt and black pepper. Cook for 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the potatoes are golden and tender.
Prepare the Eggs: While the potatoes are cooking, prepare the eggs as desired. Scramble, fry, or poach them according to your preference.
Toast the Bread: Toast the bread until golden brown. Butter it, if desired.
Assemble the Plate: Arrange the eggs, crispy potatoes, and toast on a plate. Add the fresh fruit and any optional toppings like avocado or shredded cheese.
