LCHS soccer players and parents! Please come to the field tonight at 7pm to meet new head coach Erik Rodriguez!! In addition to learning information about the coming season, there will be time to kick the ball around. See you at the field!

Game vs Sheridan this morning is cancelled.

Reminder - preseason officially starts tomorrow! Practices will be held every day from 4-6 PM at the Community Field. Also, if you're an incoming freshman or junior, or had a concussion last year, please arrive at the school an hour early tomorrow (Monday, 3 PM) to meet with our athletic trainer. See you tomorrow!

Hey team, due to some scheduling conflicts there won't be any practice today (7/10) either unfortunately. We will resume practices next Monday (7/17) and announce additional practice times then as our soccer season is quickly approaching!

Hey fellas it's June! Which means we need to get out on the field and get some touches on the ball. We've got the community field this upcoming Monday (6/5) at 4PM. Anyone interested in playing with us this fall is invited, so help me spread the word!

Players! I need to finish collecting uniforms. If you have not turned everything in, you can bring it to my house today, or I will stop by your house tonight. Thanks!

Congratulations Irvin, David, and Angel, who represented us at the Frontier League All Star game. Javier reports that each of the guys played a great match! Meanwhile, I was stuck in Leadville listening to the obnoxious TRASH TALK of Christian, Federico and Eddie following the 2-1 Mexico victory over the US. The ONLY good thing about Marquez's goal is that it shows how old guys (like Sergio, Andrew, Javier and myself) can still dominate a game. So congrats El Tri and LCHS Panthers!

Last night was our team and family party! In addition to indoor soccer and lots of great food, we gave out awards that the players voted on. And the awards went to: MVP (Irvin), Most Improved (Christian), Best Goalie (German), Best Defender (Angel), Best Midfielder (David), Best Forward (Irvin), Fair Play (Sam), Most Athletic (Uriel), Student Athlete (Angel), Friendliest (Sam), Most Valuable Mom (Adrianna and Gloria tied!), Most Valuable Dad (Sergio and Javier tied!), Most Supportive Fan (Rodrigo), Panther Fan #1 (Sam's grandparents and Javier tied!), and Loudest Fan (David). The team gave me a signed soccer ball, which will always bring me happy memories of this team! Thanks everyone!

Players and Parents! We will have our team party this Sunday at 6pm at the LCHS cafeteria. The gym will be open, so bring shoes for playing indoor soccer! Please contact Javier or Gloria for information on what food and/or drinks to bring. Players, please plan on turning in your uniforms Sunday night. See you then!

Panther fans! Here’s an important team update. I (Peter) have decided to step down from my position as Head Coach. As my business has grown, it has become increasingly difficult to keep up with work and devote the necessary time and energy to the team. I will continue to run the winter indoor program, maintain the page, and be an active part of our soccer parents’ group. I know Mr. Vagher and Mr. Cairns are committed to finding the best possible replacement coach. Please feel free to share your ideas and thoughts with them. Thank you for your support over the past three years, and Go Panthers!

It was a memorable day at the Community Park, as we said goodbye to five seniors who have given so much to the program. Daniel, Christian, David, Angel and Irvin, you will be remembered and missed. We lost 5-2 to the #2 ranked team in Colorado, but it was great to see David and Daniel score in their final game. Thank you Bill Nelson for providing the sound system, Amy Frykholm for being the "Voice of the Panthers," the LCHS cheerleaders for your constant support, and to our great parents. It's sad to see our season come to an end, but the guys are already asking, "When can we start indoor??" Go Panthers!
