We’re pleased to introduce Joni Winter, DNP, CRNP, FNP-BC, AGACNP-BC, ENP-C, CVNP-BC, serving as AAENP’s Co-Representative for Alabama.

Joni brings more than 24 years of nursing experience and 16 years as a multi-certified nurse practitioner across emergency medicine, critical care, cardiology, primary care, urgent care, and hospital medicine. She currently serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor at Auburn University College of Nursing, teaching in the FNP and DNP programs and contributing to the development of an Emergency Nurse Practitioner Certification.

In her role with AAENP, Joni is dedicated to advancing ENP practice through education, advocacy, and collaboration. She is also a contributing author for the Emergency Nurse Practitioner Core Curriculum, 2nd edition, and continues to expand CE opportunities and support evidence-based care for communities across Alabama, especially those in rural and underserved areas.

She remains actively engaged in professional service through AAENP and several other state and national organizations.
