If it’s been grey and gloomy for more than 2 consecutive days, I break out the S.A.D. Lamp.☀️

I also just invested in a portable infrared red light, so I think we’re all set to tackle the winter blues! 💯

Ever heard of Scapula Push Ups? I swear by them and include them in nearly every class! 💁🏻‍♀️ They're easily in my top 5 exercises. 🖐🏼

I kick things off with "Stop Sign" hands to gauge whether I'm relying on my ribs to move my shoulder blades or if it's my blades doing the work. 👊🏼

Then, I take it to the next level with cat/all fours position for a more challenging experience. 💪🏼

Rhomboid Push Ups work wonders for:
🌟 Correcting rounded shoulders
🌟 Addressing winged scapula
🌟 Relieving pinched blades

After a round of these, I feel like I can breathe easier, my shoulders broaden, and my arms loosen up. 👏🏼

Ever wonder about your ribcage posture? 🤔

In today's exercise, we table the Thoracic Stretch + Shoulder Shrug bonus. Let's address those rounded keyboard shoulders. 👍🏼 Watch the transformation as I go from rib thrust to rib neutral, finding a balance between the two. 🙌🏼 I hold my ribs in a neutral position, then shrug my shoulders for a lat stretch and strengthen them to finish. 💪🏼

I have a tendency to be deeply self-critical. Enneagram 1, anyone?!? 🤨

Most of the time, I feel like I’m not doing enough, doing it well enough, and not successful enough. 🙇🏻‍♀️

This downward spiral causes me to compare my success to others and feel less than. 🌀

This Maya Angelou quote speaks to this so profoundly. While I’ve never let these thoughts or feelings stop me, they’ve created unnecessary suffering. 😕

Things that have helped me learn how to value what I do, how I do it, and purely and simply, who I am are:
📌 Gratitude journal
📌 Daily devotional
📌 Getting outside
📌 Loving support system

As November begins, I'm thinking about the significance of this month for me, my business, and my family. With the departure of many snowbirds for the winter, the days are becoming gloomy and cold. As the weather shifts, I'm reminded of how bodies change, and happily welcome new clients into my schedule.

It's during these moments that I realize the power of my guidance in helping people feel better and alleviating their discomfort. Being a movement teacher is my true passion, and I'm committed to pursuing it for life. I look forward to helping my clients achieve their goals for as long as possible.
