Each menu includes seven fully cooked ready to heat items. Each single order provides enough food to create 3-4 meals for one person. (Some of our customers get as many as 5 meals per week from a single order.) Serving Sizes
7oz Seafood Entree
7oz Meat Entree
24oz Soup
16 oz of each side (with the exception of salsa & roasted tomatoes -
these come in 12oz containers. Packaging
We pack each week’s selections in reusable easy to carry insulated bags. Just return and swap out your bag when you come to pick up your next order. When the weather demands, we’ll include an ice pack for our Harrisburg & Lancaster customers to keep your food cold for up to two hours during transport. Our Lebanon location keeps meals completely refrigerated until the time of pick-up, so ice packs are not necessary. Ice packs should be returned each week with your bag. Menu items are packed in fully biodegradable, compostable, and/or recyclable containers. The clear containers are made from a corn based product and will not withstand temperatures above 110 degrees – they are not microwaveable. The black containers with clear lids containing the fish & meat items are dishwasher safe, reuseable, recyclable, and freezer safe. If you are receiving a double portion of an entree, these containers will be marked with a "D."

What's an Aleppo Pepper?

The Aleppo pepper is a variety of Capsicum annuum used as a spice, particularly in Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cuisine. Also known as the Halaby pepper, it starts as pods which ripen to a burgundy color and is then semi-dried, de-seeded, then crushed or coarsely ground.

This makes a truly delicious nutritious lunch. Make it the night before, and you'll have something ready to take to the office! Just combine a few of the shrimp with some wild rice, a few roasted vegetables, and some chopped green beans. Toss together with a little of your own favorite chutney and a...

A staple food in certain warm climates where they grow, black-eyed peas are an excellent source of nutrition. Particularly in the southern U.S., eating black-eyed peas on New Year's is a tradition said to bring prosperity in the coming year. Add black-eyed peas to soups, bake them into black-eyed pea loaf, pair them with rice or use them to dress up salads.

For a real taste of the south, this combination is the ticket! Start with a few collard greens mixed with some black-eyed peas. Next add a few mashed sweet potatoes and top it off with some of the spicy bbq chicken or a little turkey burger. This meal is "finger lickin good" as we say in the south!

Called aubergine in France, eggplant is a member of the nightshade family of vegetables like tomato, bell pepper and potato.  Among the main growers of eggplant are Italy, Egypt, China, Japan and Turkey. This week we bring you 5 reasons to LOVE spinach...

Low in calories and high in vitamins, spinach is one of the most nutrient-dense foods in existence. One cup of the leafy green vegetable contains far more than your daily requirements of vitamin K and vitamin A.  It is a good, very good or excellent source of more than 20 different measurable nutrie...

This week we focus on the origins of traditional Caribbean flavors like Jerk Seasoning. The term jerk is said to come from the word charqui, a Spanish term of Quechua origin for je**ed or dried meat, which eventually became jerky in English.

As the days get longer, our focus naturally shifts to getting back in shape, eating healthier foods, and shedding some of the extra pounds winter frequently leaves behind.

One of my favorite salads for the spring detox time of year. It is so refreshing to eat after a winter of heavier foods. The sprouts are a must! They are high in Vitamin C and offer a high level of vitality. Make sure they are very fresh(be sure to check the date on the package) or grow them yoursel...
