Your children don’t need a flawless version of you.
They don’t need a parent who never breaks, never stumbles, never feels overwhelmed.
What they need is far more human than that.
They need to see what it looks like to have hard days and stay in the room.
To struggle and still show up.
To feel big emotions and return to calm.
To make mistakes and make repairs.
Because that’s what teaches them resilience —
not perfection, but persistence.
Not a life without storms, but a parent who keeps steering through them.
They don’t learn strength from watching you get everything right.
They learn it from watching you keep going.
So, keep going.
Even on the days that feel messy and undone.
Even when you’re not your best self.
Even when all you can offer is your presence and a promise to try again tomorrow.
Because to them, that isn’t failure —
it’s the kind of courage they’ll carry for the rest of their lives. ❤️
