I don’t do weight loss coaching.

Why do I avoid the bread and butter goal of most health coaches? Why don’t I have my own “lose 20 pounds in 20 days” program?

For one it’s crap. It’s like your mechanic fixing your car with duct tape. Sure maybe it works for a little bit but you know all the problems are coming right back in two seconds.

The other is that weight loss isn’t a goal that lines up well with long term health. We’re programmed to expect fast results and measure our health by our belt size but health is neither fast nor that oversimplified.

That’s why all my coaching focuses on building enjoyable long term habits that can sustain a lifetime of health! It’s crazy how when you put your overall long term health as a priority how everything else (including weight) improves over time too!

How to Get Kids to eat veggies:

1- Set boundaries
For me this includes: they eat what I eat—no special meals, they have to try one bite of everything, no snacks until the meal has been finished.

2- Tricks up my sleeve
I make special sauces, dips and pestos. I make smoothies and “Hulk” drinks.

3- Teach them to love it
Infuse big flavor into veggies with roasting, let them cook, let them pick veggies for meals. Keep them involved! Start a garden if you can!

Welcoming our new Rogue Echo air bike to our workout equipment here at the Cundiff Garage Gym! I took it for a test spin and boy can it get your heart rate up! I love that it works arms and legs at the same time!

When you’re craving chips usually what you’re really craving is salt! Upgrade your craving from chips that are fried in nasty hydrogenated oils to popcorn! Skip the microwave kind (for similar reasons) and pop it old school in a pot on the stove! Simple, cheap and upgraded snack!

Never done popcorn on the stove before? It’s simple! Cover the bottom of a pot with olive oil. Sprinkle in salt and a thin layer of popcorn seeds. Turn on high until it pops and voila! You can add butter and more salt or different seasonings if that’s you’re thing too!

Diets are unhealthy but no one suggests an alternative. The alternative is the UPGRADE approach! Take one thing you normally eat and experiment until you find an upgraded healthier version that you love! Slowly, one thing at a time until suddenly you realize your food looks nothing like it used to!

Let’s get to know each other! We’re Cyle and Kelci Cundiff! Cyle is a fitness trainer and has worked at two private Wilson Fitness Gyms, completed multiple Spartan races and survived the six month State Trooper boot camp. His favorite drink was Mountain Dew and his go-to food was nachos until college when he got challenged to cut it cold turkey and started working out—losing close to 40lbs in the process!

If Cyle is all fitness—I’m (Kelci speaking) all about the food! I struggled with severe chronic yeast infections that began at 21, five different doctors couldn’t help me and one told me I’d be on medication for the rest of my life. That’s when I decided to overhaul my diet and I now live medication and pain free! It involved many dramatic tears in front of the fridge but because of that I developed my own cooking style and tricks that I now teach! We’re far from finished on our own health journeys though. I haven’t worked out for four years (since I’ve had kids) I used to be more of a runner but I don’t have the time or joints for that anymore so I’m looking to Cyle to help me there! MEMBERSHIP PRICING
So many new faces here welcome! I’ve gotten a lot of questions about what the pricing will be. I want this to be affordable for y’all so I have waited to get your input before really solidifying it. I’ve laid out below the structure I was thinking and you guys let me know if it looks fair to you or if price would be a big deterrent for you:

Basic Membership: $20 a month / 1 adult plus their children / access to the gym two times a week / access to private Facebook group where we will be posting workout videos with the equipment and Q&A times with my hubby a fitness trainer and myself, a health and cooking coach.

Strong Membership: $25 a month / 1 adult plus their children / access to the gym three times a week / access to private Facebook group where we will be posting workout videos with the equipment and Q&A times with my hubby a fitness trainer and myself, a health and cooking coach.

Prime Family Membership: $50 a month / 2 adults plus children / unlimited access to the gym / one training session a month with fitness trainer Cyle or health and cooking coach Kelci / Kelci’s online video cooking course / access to private Facebook group where we will be posting workout videos with the equipment and Q&A times with my hubby a fitness trainer and myself, a health and cooking coach.

Buddy Membership: two moms (or Dads) and their children can get a buddy membership where they can share the workout time slots / $15 per mom for Basic membership / $20 per mom for Strong membership

Welcome from the Cundiff family!

Phew! What a crazy life season this has been! As a mom (Kelci speaking here) I know how nearly impossible it is to get a workout in. Between covid and kiddos there’s almost no way so we wanted to make a safe, fun, escape from home! An outing to look forward to (that won’t break the bank) and doubles for some great workout time!

We’ll be adding everyone who signs up into a private Facebook group too so we can build a small but mighty community where we can laugh, share pictures and encourage one another! Cyle who is a certified personal trainer and Kelci (me 😆) who is a health and cooking coach will be available to book individual sessions and active in the group to answer questions and offer tips along the way!

So welcome! We’d love to give you a tour, answer questions and hear any suggestions you might have for what you’d like to see in the gym!
