Trying to go bigger with my preworkout meal! I've been pretty stagnant for awhile so I'm going to up my daily calories and see if we can add 5lbs of lean body mass.

12oz Honey Chicken, 1 cup Purple Rice, 1 Banana, 1/4 cup Blueberries, handful of Walnuts, 1Tbsp Honey, 1Tbsp Olive Oil

Protein: 115g
Carbs: 95g

It's amazing how many people I talk to that skip breakfast. It seems to be step 1 of everyone's weight loss program, and I've never understood why. No matter your goal, you have to fuel yourself. The body does not grow or burn without the proper nutrients. You fast for 8-12hrs, so the first thing you need to do is hydrate and fuel.

And the beauty of breakfast is that you can be a little "dirty." The brain wants fat, and the body wants protein and carbs. Go for all 3!

Stop using apps to scan supplements!

I haven't found one that's legitimately helpful. They aren't teaching you ingredients or dosing or psychological function. They are just reinforcing fear mongering. They are making you scared of inactive ingredients which don't matter!

Learn nutrition. Learn supplements. Understand them instead of letting an app tell you what to get.

Thanks to my wife for reminding me to meal prep 😘

When you have a long, busy day ahead and you don't have healthy meals ready to go, odds are you'll make poor decisions.

No plan: I spend $25 on eating out tomorrow, where I eat high fat, high carb, malnutritious meals.

Plan: I save $15-20 by having home-cooked meals, and I am fueled all day long.

It doesn't have to be hard. It doesn't have to be expensive.
