Have you ever watched someone you know talk about something they loved doing when they have not done it for a long time? It’s like you are there with them when they are sharing their experiences. Well, after some serious coaxing I was able to talk Dr. A into getting back into the OR for scheduled C-Sections! By the looks of it I think he had a good time and things went well! It took some time but I truly believe he and the practice needed it! Dr. Ayoub will be performing scheduled C-Sections only at Stone Springs Hospital! This will happen only a couple days a month due to our abundance of office appointments and already busy OR schedule. Please help me in Welcoming Dr. Jack back!!!!!!

At our office we do our best to help the check-in , visit and check-out process go smooth and quick! Things that you can do to help your visit go smoother...

1. Arrive on time... if you are running late please call us

2. Come alone and wear a mask

3. We are taking temps and requiring sanitizer before entering the patient area

4. Bring a copy of your insurance card

5. Come prepared to pay copays or balances

6. Come with a full bladder

7. Make a list of questions ahead of time, makes it easier for you and our providers

8. Bring a list of any medications you are on

9. If you are with us for an important visit or ultrasound during this pandemic please know we welcome FaceTiming or video calling your loved ones to share in the moment!

10. Schedule all needed visits at check out. Our schedule fills quickly so even a annual exam for next year ... please schedule so you are able to get the time that works best for you.

Throw back Thursday to the start of OB/GYN care! Howard Atwood Kelly was the youngest of the four founders of Johns Hopkins, which included William Halstead, William Osler and William Welch. In October 1889, Kelly was appointed the first professor of gynecology and obstetrics, and is universally regarded as establishing gynecology as a surgical specialty. Which by the way is where the Kelly stitch and Kelly clamps came from! I wonder what he would think of Dr. A? 🤔🤔🤔🤔

It’s Women Crush Wednesday at our office!!!! Today we honor Virginia Apgar!

Virginia Apgar was an obstetrical anesthesiologist who also worked as a researcher. In 1953, Apgar created the Apgar score, which is used worldwide to determine the health of newborns. Apgar also was an important figure during the rubella pandemic, where she helped to prevent mothers from transmitting rubella to their children during pregnancy, and she promoted Rh testing, which identified women that were at risk for miscarriage.

We are hoping you have a Tubular Tuesday! To go with it... here is a little something about your tubes ladies! The paired fallopian tubes extend laterally from the cornua of the uterus on each side and end near the ovaries. They range in length from 10-14 cm and are about 1 cm in external diameter, connecting the peritoneal space to the endometrial cavity. Don’t forget we have appointments available!
