My weight loss journey has been over 40 years in the making. I have been on just about every diet plan that is available, with little lasting success. The reason the success is short-lived, I believe, is because it has not become a lifestyle change for me. The 21 Day Fix Challenge with Shakeology has given me significant weight loss and it has also increased my fitness through moderate exercise . The program is easy to adapt to any lifestyle with lasting results. This program has changed my life because I am not only losing weight, but I am healthier because of it.

Hello friends! Eating a healthy meal can be delicious. This was my breakfast this morning, banana chocolate chip pancakes and turkey bacon.Yummy!
Easy recipe- 1 cup fat free milk, 1 egg, 1 tsp vanilla, 1 1/2 cups flour, 2 tsp. baking powder, 2 bananas mashed, 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips. 1 tbs sugar, 1/8 tsp ground ginger. Serving size 3 pancakes. Calories 334, fat 5g, 63 g carbs, 10 g protein.

Have you made any healthy changes to your meal plan? This week I used more egg whites than whole eggs, exchanged granulated sugar with brown sugar Splenda, and used whole wheat flour for white flour.

This was a rather busy week and I didn't follow my meal plan exactly. I'm finding I really don't want to cook that much. So, this week, I'm making a pot of chili which will cover several meals. Later in the week I'll have a rotisserie chicken with salads and steamed vegetables.

Making sure I drink plenty of water has been a challenge but I am improving. It certainly helps to always have water with you. As for exercise, I'm adding steps each day. 5 minutes more a day is better than anything.

Maybe you can find it in a thrift shop or Amazon? I don't really have recipes for the meals here. Just making things I already know how to do. 🙂

Hello, Friends! Hope everyone is doing well. I was very excited to start the 75 Hard program and did well for a few days. Unfortunately, I have bursitis in my hip and walking has been very painful. Just about any kind of exercise hurts. Since I am currently working full time, getting through the day has been about all I can handle.

I did see my doctor, regular check up. The news was not good. Bloodwork shows several problem areas. This was not exactly new news. However, it has finally occurred to me I MUST make changes for my health to improve. I agreed to try some medication, but when I read the side effects I was scared to try it. Especially, when the medication is not required if I eat healthy and exercise.

Yesterday, I committed to trying to do just that. I made a menu for the week, a grocery list, and went shopping. I don't know if I'll be 100% but there is no reason not to be. Sometimes life gets in the way. I'm telling myself that I am making a lifestyle change. For me, the reality that something can go wrong with my health, has been very motivating. I'll let you know how it goes!

I'll be taking a break from my page until I'm settled in. I'm a bit overwhelmed now with all that's involved and there doesn't seem enough time in the day to finish. So, just taking a break for a while. Thank you for the kind prayers and good wishes! ❤
