🚨 Valor Preparedness Info/Tip: What to Stock Up On During Times of Conflict / Middle East Tensions 🚨
Hello, Today, we’re focusing on being prepared for times of conflict. Recent history shows that tensions or conflict in the Middle East can have a global impact on the availability of certain items. Here’s what to consider:
Fuel: Conflicts in oil-rich regions can skyrocket fuel prices or create shortages. Stock up on fuel. Your vehicles, gas cans and propane cylinders should be topped off. A little money spent now can save a lot down the road. Exponental increase is cost of oil can happen overnight during volatile situations like the one happening now.
Medicine: Supplies of some pharmaceuticals can be impacted. Have a surplus of prescription and OTC meds. Now is the time to get that surplus.
Non-Perishable Food: As prepared citizens food should already be addressed. The basics and staples should be in place is sufficient quantity. That said, you can never have enough.
Water: Store water and consider taking this time to upgrade your renewable water filtration methods.
Batteries: Essential for electronics, most of the US supply of batteries comes from Asia. Conflict in the Middle East could spiral into significant trade issues with China and Asia in general. Cost increases and scarcity are possible. Consider the fact China has moved a fleet of 6 warships to that region.
Personal Hygiene Items: These can be in short supply due to limited resources and increased demand. We get so focused on storing bulk that we neglect to store those items we prefer to use. Buy the Shampoo, conditioners, body soaps and other items you use now.
Fi****ms and Ammunition: Domestic and international regulations can affect supply. Stockpile. Like with food, is there ever too much?
Automotive Parts: Global supply chains can be impacted, making vehicle maintenance items scarce. We are already seeing this today, conflict across trade routes will make it much worse. Store oil and filters for car maintenance. Common parts that go bad. Spare tires that needed to be replaced a long time ago.
Spices and Coffee: These may seem trivial, but they can be impacted due to trade restrictions and become luxury items overnight.
🐾 Pet Food: Often overlooked, but global supply chain issues can affect this as well.
💵 Cash: In a digital outage, cash will be essential for transactions.
