This book is one of my favorite for early sounds - think “uh oh!” “boo boo” “ow!” - as well as simple receptive vocabulary. This kid LOVES anything color matching so we added his ball pit balls to the play and matched the Bandaids to the balls before throwing them and placing the Bandaid. This also helped sustain his interest on joint book reading from his typical 2-3 minutes to 15!

Hi! I’m Katie Newton. I’m a licensed and certified speech and language pathologist in North Central MA. I have openings for in home, daycare, preschool, and virtual therapies. I currently take BCBS, HPHC, and MGB health insurances as well as private pay. I have experience in early intervention, private practice and the public school setting. I work with children with various speech and language diagnoses. I am also a certified lactation counselor and have specialized experience and training with infant feeding. I’d love to meet you and assess what your child’s needs may be!
