ETA: These changes will be for going into 2026 as it will take time to implement and December is already set up.
Hello With All My Might clients. This will be a long read but required for continued service. The bottom line is these changes are necessary to keep the business going.
Unfortunately, policies will have to change back to a more professional styling. This includes putting out an official terms of service.
Because of my lax dealings, trying to remain as affordable as possible, and not having more of a business mindset when it comes to payment I have and continue to cause undue stress to the company.
That being said the following changes are to take place:
🫧We are going back to invoices, not the previous ones like below but something along those lines.
🫧I will no longer be able to provide work per hour unless the amount of hours are agreed upon beforehand.
🫧No longer doing work at price per hour means that if you are already an ongoing customer I will continue to do your house at the average price. Most regulars have an average so we can discuss something to be agreed upon. This should not affect regulars financially.
🫧Those without an average will be quoted based on current industry pricing. This includes new customers or extra jobs/ add ons to current services.
🫧 Payment will continue to be due at time of service and I will take a more businesslike approach to this policy. (Jobs that are unclear or hard to quote a finishing time or that are ongoing must be paid half before service and the rest upon completion.) All of this will be discussed clearly.
🫧 It will probably be avoidable but I might have to streamline the way payments are made to one way. I will try to keep from implementing this one at all cost
These are not changes I want to make.
Cancellations, unpaid invoices (most due to unfortunate circumstances), being "ghosted" by clients after a job is planned, and feeling like I have to chase people or beg for payment after jobs has really costed us a lot this year. No sob story but I put my all into this and if I've worked for you then you know I'm a blood, sweat, and tears type and that it's worth every bit.
Maybe I put my heart into it too much because at the end of the day this is a company and licensed business and I deserve to be paid just as any other service is. Others hardships have been overlooked and forgiven and that is what feels good but it is not sustainable. By respecting other people's emergency situations, bad days/news, flight of thought, or miscommunications I continue to cause all of that for my own family.
Facebook will not allow me to tag in the post but I will try to get everyone in the comments of the option is available. I will also be reaching out to each person individually but this is the best way to get information to everyone at once.
