Juniata Memorial Park was founded in 1947 and has served as a final resting place for many generations. It is located in the beautiful mountains of Pennsylvania, between Harrisburg and State College. Surrounded by mountains and the Juniata River, it provides a quiet resting place for those who enjoyed God’s natural beauty. It is common to catch glimpse wildlife such as deer and other forest creatures. This is truly “a piece of heaven on Earth.”
Did you know about our cremation options? ⠀
There are several options to memorialize a loved one who has been cremated. This includes: ⠀
Scattering cremated remains or keeping them in an urn. Scattering can occur in a cemetery scattering garden, at sea, or certain places with special meaning (please note that the scattering of ashes is prohibited in some areas). ⠀
An urn can also be placed in a spot such as over a mantle in a home, in an urn garden, community mausoleum niche, urn mausoleum (called a columbarium), or even buried in a grave-site space. ⠀
Compared to other burial options, cremation service costs tend to be less expensive, particularly when Advance Planning a cremation. Viewings and full funeral services can also be held. ⠀
We are here to help make immediate need arrangements for a recent loss or advance planning final arrangements by appointment. That’s why we’re offering one-to-one, online appointments using your home computer or mobile device. Please contact us if you need assistance or have any questions. We’re keeping our community in our thoughts and hope you all stay safe and healthy.⠀

An Advance Planning funeral is exactly that: a funeral where all of your services and products you want to be included are. This can include in-ground burial in a casket, cremation niche in a mausoleum, or anything else you’d like. This allows for you to see the final cost and be able to pay for it in a lump sum or through installments. It’s a great way to make sure your final wishes have been met and your family doesn’t have the burden of your final expenses.
We are here to help make arrangements by advance planning your final wishes. Schedule an appointment with limitations on in-person appointments or by online, one-to-one appointments using your home computer or mobile device. Please contact us if you need assistance or have any questions. Keeping our community in our thoughts and hope you all stay safe and healthy.
If you have lost someone close to you from COVID or other causes we want to send your deepest condolences. When someone passes we understand times are tough and especially during the COVID crisis. Please don't hesitate to contact us.
Did you know you can still contact your local funeral home or cemetery if a recent loss has occurred?
What to know when a loved one passes away.
We know that many things have changed with the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. We want to make sure that the families in our community know what to do when a loved one passes away. When a death occurs please contact one of our funeral directors so that we can obtain the information that is required to have your loved one transferred to our care. Questions that will be asked during the initial phone call will include the name of your loved one, their date of birth and where they are located (hospital, nursing home, residence). Once your loved one has been transferred to our care, we will set up a time to go over the arrangements, fulfilling the wishes of the deceased and family. Although many aspects of our normal life has changed, please be assured that our commitment to our community is the same as always, to tell the story of a lifetime or after always, Honoring Your Life Story is our Life's Work.
As we honor these individuals who have sacrificed their lives for our communities, we also would like to recognize and thank law enforcement who continue to serve and protect our community everyday.
Wishing all Mother's A Happy Mother's Day! We invite you to visit your loved ones today and remember those we love. Please feel free to fill out our online survey by visiting https://burialplanninginfo.com/mothers-day-survey/
