Juniata Memorial Park

Please visit our website www.JuniataMemorial.com for more information

Juniata Memorial Park was founded in 1947 and has served as a final resting place for many generations. It is located in the beautiful mountains of Pennsylvania, between Harrisburg and State College. Surrounded by mountains and the Juniata River, it provides a quiet resting place for those who enjoyed God’s natural beauty. It is common to catch glimpse wildlife such as deer and other forest creatures. This is truly “a piece of heaven on Earth.”

Did you know about our cremation options? ⠀

There are several options to memorialize a loved one who has been cremated. This includes: ⠀

Scattering cremated remains or keeping them in an urn. Scattering can occur in a cemetery scattering garden, at sea, or certain places with special meaning (please note that the scattering of ashes is prohibited in some areas). ⠀

An urn can also be placed in a spot such as over a mantle in a home, in an urn garden, community mausoleum niche, urn mausoleum (called a columbarium), or even buried in a grave-site space. ⠀

Compared to other burial options, cremation service costs tend to be less expensive, particularly when Advance Planning a cremation. Viewings and full funeral services can also be held. ⠀

We are here to help make immediate need arrangements for a recent loss or advance planning final arrangements by appointment. That’s why we’re offering one-to-one, online appointments using your home computer or mobile device. Please contact us if you need assistance or have any questions. We’re keeping our community in our thoughts and hope you all stay safe and healthy.⠀

Did you know how much the average funeral and cemetery arrangements should cost? ⠀

The average cost of a cemetery plot varies depending on the state in which you choose to be buried and the type of burial desired: burial plots can average between $1,000 and $4,000. ⠀

Reports have shown an estimated average of Funeral Arrangements to be about $7,000 - $12,000. The average cost of a funeral with cremation is $5,000 - $7,000. ⠀

Did you know you can Advance Plan your cemetery or funeral home final arrangements?

An Advance Planning funeral is exactly that: a funeral where all of your services and products you want to be included are. This can include in-ground burial in a casket, cremation niche in a mausoleum, or anything else you’d like. This allows for you to see the final cost and be able to pay for it in a lump sum or through installments. It’s a great way to make sure your final wishes have been met and your family doesn’t have the burden of your final expenses.

We are here to help make arrangements by advance planning your final wishes. Schedule an appointment with limitations on in-person appointments or by online, one-to-one appointments using your home computer or mobile device. Please contact us if you need assistance or have any questions. Keeping our community in our thoughts and hope you all stay safe and healthy.

If you have lost someone close to you from COVID or other causes we want to send your deepest condolences. When someone passes we understand times are tough and especially during the COVID crisis. Our families aren't able to memorialize or celebrate their loved ones how they typically would with friends and family. We want you to know We Stand With You and are here for you. Please don't hesitate to contact us.

Did you know you can still contact your local funeral home or cemetery if a recent loss has occurred?

What to know when a loved one passes away.

We know that many things have changed with the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. We want to make sure that the families in our community know what to do when a loved one passes away. When a death occurs please contact one of our funeral directors so that we can obtain the information that is required to have your loved one transferred to our care. Questions that will be asked during the initial phone call will include the name of your loved one, their date of birth and where they are located (hospital, nursing home, residence). Once your loved one has been transferred to our care, we will set up a time to go over the arrangements, fulfilling the wishes of the deceased and family. Although many aspects of our normal life has changed, please be assured that our commitment to our community is the same as always, to tell the story of a lifetime or after always, Honoring Your Life Story is our Life's Work.

As we honor these individuals who have sacrificed their lives for our communities, we also would like to recognize and thank law enforcement who continue to serve and protect our community everyday.

Wishing all Mother's A Happy Mother's Day! We invite you to visit your loved ones today and remember those we love. Please feel free to fill out our online survey by visiting https://burialplanninginfo.com/mothers-day-survey/

Shared message to our community

"Honoring Your Life Story is Our Life's Work" is our mission when caring for your loved ones. During these difficult times with COVID-19, we understand it has been especially difficult to pay your respects and honor your loved ones as we have always done. Although we know this will only be temporary, all of our locations are uniquely able to provide creative and honorable ways to accommodate your needs within the public health guidelines.

We are conducting Vehicle Visitations and Services for our families. Visitors or attendees can pay their respects from the safety of their own vehicles, under our secure and private covered portico, or from a distance (if there is not a private covered portico). We remain committed to serving our families with the greatest care, attention to their needs as well as all of the details. We care for you - now and always! Please contact us if there is anything we can do to be of assistance.

We understand you may have some questions regarding advance planning, payments, or any of our other services. And we certainly do not wish to leave you looking for answers. Therefore, you may now speak to one of our counselors via virtual appointment. While it’s important to practice social distancing, we are not practicing social isolation if at all possible.
If you have any questions at all, we invite you to speak to one of our counselors via virtual appointment.

As the country continues to practice social distancing and travel becomes more and more difficult, we understand how it might be hard, or just not possible, to see your loved one put to rest. And we would never want anyone to miss such an important event. Therefore, we are now offering a service to stream your loved one’s interment. This way, you can still be there when you simply can’t physically be there.

Social distancing doesn’t mean social isolation. We understand the need for social distancing, as well as the need to be connected with your community. This is why we are now offering virtual appointments. We want you to know that you are not alone. You can contact us for anything. If you need help picking up groceries, posting mail, are in need of urgent supplies, or simply need a friendly conversation, don’t hesitate to schedule an appointment as soon as possible! Give us a call and let’s get through this together.
