Lewisville Estates kicked off National Assisted Living week with an "assist" from the Lewisville Police Department. Kendra Simpson, Executive Director, welcomed our residents, families, and guests, then turned the mic over to Assistant Chief Donald Fulbright. Chief Fulbright spoke to the crowd about the Lewisville 2035 initiative, then welcomed questions, comments, and suggestions.
Next it was time for the main event - Lewisville Estates Residents vs. Lewisville Police Department in chair volleyball. The score was neck and neck throughout the match, but in the end, it was the LE Residents who came out on top!
After the trophy ceremony, everyone enjoyed tasty grilled burgers and hot dogs, and the Kona Ice truck was there to provide snow cones for dessert (special thanks to Lovewell Hospice for sponsoring the Kona Ice truck).
The day could not have been better... great crowd, great weather, great food, and great FUN! We are already looking forward to next year!!
