Support for alcohol and substance use challenges is not only personal — it is also a public health priority.

As we head into National Public Health Week, we recognize the importance of prevention, education, and access to care in building healthier communities. When people have access to treatment, trusted information, and compassionate support, communities grow stronger.

Awareness can open the door to change. Support can help people keep moving forward.

Did You Know? Stress can affect people in many different ways — including the ways they cope.

During Stress Awareness Month and Alcohol Awareness Month, it is important to recognize that some people may turn to alcohol when they feel overwhelmed, emotionally drained, or unable to slow down. While that coping pattern can feel common, it can also become harmful over time.

Learning healthier ways to manage stress and knowing when to seek support can make a real difference. You do not have to carry everything alone.

Beyond the fun, these moments give us the opportunity to connect with patients, share support through initiatives like our Pay It Forward program, and strengthen our community.

We’re proud of our team and grateful for the smiles shared along the way. 💙

You don’t have to take on everything at once.

Staying engaged often starts by choosing one small thing that feels manageable right now.

What that looks like can change from week to week — and that’s okay.

Starting with one thing can help build momentum over time.

If you feel comfortable, share one small thing that helps you stay engaged in the comments.

Life doesn’t stay the same — and care doesn’t have to either.

Schedules shift, responsibilities change, and some weeks look different than others.

Adjusting along the way can help care stay realistic, supportive, and sustainable over time.

Take a moment to reflect on what flexibility looks like for you right now.

Staying engaged in recovery can look different from week to week — and that’s okay.

From adjusting when life changes, to planning ahead, to using support and learning more about care, there’s no single “right” way to stay connected.

What matters most is finding approaches that fit your life and support you over time. 🤍

These concepts are meant to be reminders — not rules — as you continue moving forward.

💗 February was full of love at MedMark Lufkin! 💗

Throughout February, our team and patients celebrated with fun activities, including games and dress-up days featuring red, pink, and cupid-inspired outfits. The week wrapped up with a sweet surprise — roses for the ladies! 🌹

We also proudly recognized Hailey Sarver, PAR, as our first-ever Employee of the Month for February. Hailey brings a positive attitude to work every day and greets every patient and staff member with kindness and respect. She takes on many responsibilities without hesitation and truly serves as the welcoming face of our clinic.

We’re grateful to have Hailey as part of the MedMark Lufkin team. Congratulations on this well-deserved recognition! 👏

Planning doesn’t have to be complicated.

Sometimes it’s as simple as knowing what your week looks like and making space for the things that support your care. 🗓️

Taking a few minutes to plan ahead can help reduce stress, avoid last-minute decisions, and make busy weeks feel more manageable.

What’s one small thing you plan ahead for that helps you stay on track?

It was a great day connecting with the community at Leap Into Recovery!

Marva, represented our team at the event, hosting a booth to share information about our medication-assisted treatment (MAT) services and connect with individuals seeking recovery resources.

This free, family-friendly event featured inspiring recovery speakers, crafts, games, music, and a shared meal — creating a welcoming space for education, support, and community connection.

We’re grateful for opportunities like this to engage with the community and help raise awareness about recovery support and treatment options. 💙
