🔬 Tom Steele’s Personal Take on the Side Effects of Too Much Testosterone

When it comes to Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT), the benefits are well-known—more energy, better libido, and improved muscle mass. However, as someone who’s experienced TRT firsthand, I can tell you that too much testosterone can lead to side effects. Here’s what I’ve learned:

1. Estrogen: Excess testosterone can convert into estrogen, leading to mood swings and other issues. Proper dosing and estrogen inhibitors can manage this.
2. Oily Skin & Acne: Elevated DHT from TRT can cause skin issues. Proper monitoring helps keep this in check.
3. Hair Loss: Linked to DHT, not directly to testosterone, but still a concern for some.
4. Prostate Health: Contrary to old beliefs, TRT doesn’t seem to worsen prostate issues significantly in short-term studies, though it’s worth discussing with your provider.
5. Testicular Shrinkage: High testosterone levels can reduce testicular size as the brain cuts off its natural production.
6. Increased Red Blood Cells: Too much testosterone can thicken blood, raising risks of heart issues. Regular monitoring and adjustments are crucial.

The key is working with a professional who ensures you get the right dosage and manages any potential side effects. For me, Testosterone Centers of Texas has been excellent in balancing benefits with safety.

The world’s population growth has been slowing for decades. Worries have increased as the overall birth rate began to slow at a greater rate than expected.

One reason is that people in developed nations are choosing to have fewer children, but there’s a more worrisome reason—male fertility worldwide is suffering a serious decline. Dive in to this topic in more detail on our blog; https://tctmed.com/male-fertility-decline/

The demands of modern American life—erratic working hours, unreasonable deadlines, and technology that keeps us constantly plugged in—take a toll on the amount of quality sleep that a person gets. Medical research is indicating that serious health risks exist for men who regularly work late or overnight schedules. Those risks include developing hypogonadism (the medical term for low testosterone) and its associated symptoms. Want to know more? Although the words coronavirus, COVID-19, and pandemic have become permanent fixtures in every culture across the globe, there is still much we don’t know about the causes and effects of this illness. But, there’s one fact that the data has made clear:

When it comes to COVID-19, men have suffered far worse outcomes than women.

Research is pointing to testosterone, both as playing a role in that demographic disparity and predicting disease severity. Learn more about this connection here: https://tctmed.com/covid-19-outcomes-testosterone/
