๐Meet our Nicholasville Mental Health Team!๐
๐ Heather, M.S., Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT):
Heather attended the University of Kentucky for both her Bachelorโs and Masterโs degrees. She holds a Bachelorโs degree in Individual and Family Development and a Masterโs in Family Studies with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy. Heather has been a part of Marshall Pediatric Therapy for over nine years and has practiced as a mental health therapist specializing in pediatrics for more than 21 years.
Heather takes a relational approach to therapy, believing that a strong therapeutic bond is essential when working with children, teens, and parents โ without it, progress can be more challenging. She also utilizes a client-centered approach, meeting others where they are and taking time to understand their perspectives, strengths, and support systems. Heather enjoys the creativity therapy allows through the use of toys, games, and crafts to break down walls, remove barriers, and build connection.
Outside of therapy, Heather enjoys crafting โ from button bouquets and paper crafts to cross-stitching and diamond art. She loves spending time with her husband, daughter, and their dogs, serving with Operation Christmas Child, and coaching as Head Cheer Coach at Trinity Christian Academy.

๐ Madalyn, Marriage and Family Therapist Associate:
Madalyn earned her graduate degree from the University of Kentucky (Go CATS!) and loved her experience so much that she decided to stay in Lexington to continue serving the local community. She has been part of the Marshall Pediatric Therapy team for the past two years and looks forward to many more.
In her therapy room, Madalyn brings fun and creativity into sessions, meeting children where they are in their mental health journey. For some, this means sitting and talking; for others, therapy might be more play-based โ often a mix of both. Madalyn is known for incorporating Dungeons & Dragons into her sessions, using the process of character-building to help clients explore emotions, coping skills, and self-understanding through imaginative play. This approach allows children and teens to process thoughts and feelings in a fun and approachable way.
Outside of work, Madalyn enjoys tabletop game nights (especially D&D), spending time with her husband, and cheering on the UK Wildcats.
