My last client of the season — and a perfect example of why proactive care matters.

This horse struggled with significant skin irritation throughout the summer, to the point where being touched — and riding — was not possible due to discomfort. Rather than waiting for spring, when many horses experience flare-ups, the owner chose to be proactive and begin supportive care now.

Starting treatment in the off-season allows the body time to calm inflammation, support skin healing, and prepare ahead of known trigger periods. Preventative care often leads to improved comfort and better long-term outcomes.

This is what thoughtful, proactive horsemanship looks like — and it sets the horse up for a healthier, more comfortable season ahead.

As this year comes to a close, I find myself incredibly grateful.

This year wasn’t just about growing a business , it was about building trust, forming connections, and helping horses breathe easier, move better, and feel their best.

To every client who welcomed me into your barn, every trainer who asked thoughtful questions, and every owner who tried something new for their horse, thank you.

Your support, referrals, encouragement, and belief in what I do mean more than you know.

I’m proud of how far Equi-Vive has come and excited for what’s ahead, more education, more horses helped, and more meaningful partnerships.

I was so fortunate to share a demo of Dry Salt Therapy and show how it can help keep horses breathing clear and performing their best. A huge thank you to Kelly Jefferson and Greg Dial for including me in such an educational and inspiring clinic.

And a special thanks to Double Spur Ranch for hosting and providing the perfect space for learning and connection.

It’s always amazing to see how much we can help our horses when we work together and keep learning.
