Dr. Osman Ahmed and Dr. Mikin Patel just took home the Wysdom SIR 2026 Case Challenge - and we couldn't be prouder. 🙌🏽

The two collaborated on a full video covering Plantar Fasciitis Embolization, a minimally invasive treatment option that gives patients a real alternative to surgery for chronic heel pain. That video is now part of a growing library of peer-to-peer medical education built specifically to help physicians learn from each other - and ultimately, to help more patients get access to the care they need.

Today our nurse practitioner Kasia Murzanski, DNP, AGPCNP-BC, stopped by WPNA FM to speak about minimally invasive treatment options available at the Joint and Vascular Institute.

During the interview, she discussed how interventional radiology procedures such as uterine fibroid embolization (UFE), prostate artery embolization (PAE), hemorrhoidal artery embolization (HAE), and musculoskeletal embolization for chronic joint and tendon pain are helping patients find relief without major surgery.

We are grateful to Julita Pindor and Patrycja Bittner for the opportunity to share this important information and help educate the Polish community about treatment options many patients may not realize exist.

We are so proud of Dr. Osman Ahmed, who was recently invited to Houston to present at the Texas Radiological Society - one of only two physicians selected to lecture at this prestigious event! 🙌🏽

Dr. Os took the stage to share his expertise on Genicular Artery Embolization (G*E), a minimally invasive procedure that offers real relief for patients suffering from chronic knee pain due to osteoarthritis (without the need for surgery or joint replacement).

While in Houston, he also got to connect with colleagues and friends Dr. Zeyad Metwalli and Dr. Mohamed Abdelsalem, both interventional radiologists at the world-renowned MD Anderson Cancer Center.
