Dear Family & Friends:
I am needing LOTS of continuous Prayers and Help for Travis. As some of you may know, Travis was born with only 1 kidney and has had kidney disease since birth. Over time, his kidney and disease has gotten worse causing his one kidney not to work well enough to keep him alive and is now functioning around 10%. Therefore, this is what he is facing, he will soon be starting Dialysis in September, and be put on a Deceased Kidney Registry List with over 100,000 people waiting on a Deceased Kidney as well. In the meantime with his kidney function being as it is, he will be doing Dialysis 3 times a week for 4 hours a day, until he is able to receive a Kidney (from a Deceased Kidney Donor), which could be up to 8 years according to his Transplant Team Doctors. However, if he is able to receive a Kidney from someone willing to donate him a kidney, he would not have to wait up to 8 years to get one. Now we have discussed with his Transplant Doctors one of us being the transplant donor since we are his immediate family, unfortunately, we learned we not healthy enough to donate. Therefore, I know this is a lot to ask, but if anyone would be willing to give Travis a Kidney, he wouldn’t have to wait years to get one. However, you would need to speak with his Transplant Team and also be tested to make sure you are healthy enough to give one to him. Lastly, the benefits of giving Travis a Kidney would help him live longer, it would offer him more freedom to where he doesn’t have to live in a Dialysis Clinic 3 times a week for 4 hours a day, he would be healthier, and live a normal life to where he could do the fun things he enjoys most, because living on Dialysis he may feel too sick to do too much, not to mention he won’t live as long as he would if he had a new Kidney. So please, if you are interested whether you are in Kentucky or out of state, or know of anyone who is interested, please contact me, Steve, or Holly either through Text, Messenger, Email johnfarris87@yahoo.com, or give me a call at 606-344-9997. Thank you for taking the time to read my Post and PLEASE SHARE This Post to Help Travis Get a Kidney (from a Living Kidney Donor).
