Had a couple representatives from the Silly Goose Gang stop by the office today. They were going door to door selling knock off ShamWows in an attempt to raise money for "Goose Crossings" to be installed on the streets. I told them we have enough traffic flow problems in this town without adding Goose Crossings and I have plenty of the REAL ShamWows thank you very much.
They got very belligerent, told me to FLOCK off, and gave me the BIRD. Unbelievable.
Anyways, I have an hour sesh available Thursday at noon. But if you see these shady characters around when you come...don't make eye contact. 🪿😒

There is currently a bill introduced in the Nebraska Legislature that is aimed at adding sales tax to personal services including massage therapy.

If you think this doesn't apply to you or affect you, it does. You will be paying more for the services you receive and that extra money won't be going to your service provider, it will be going to the state government. So take a minute and please call your senator and tell them to OPPOSE bill LB1244!

You can also send an email to the committee chair of the Reveue Committee who is responsible for reviewing this bill.
The hearing is set for Wednesday February 4th so no time to dilly-dally, get on the horn and start rattling some cages! Below are the list of personal services included to be taxed as well as the Revenue Committee's contact information, and information on when the hearing is to be held.
