As I reflect on Mother's Day, I am filled with a mix of emotions. I am grateful for the blessing of motherhood and the opportunity to shape and guide my children's lives, but I also miss my own mother who is no longer with me. However, I find comfort in the memories we made together and the lessons she taught me. Let us celebrate and support each other as women, and recognize the strength and wisdom we can gain from one another.
The day of my mother‘s funeral I was at her and my father‘s home drinking out of this coffee mug. When we were headed to the car to go to the funeral, I decided to take the mug with me, I guess, for something to keep my hands busy. I then proceeded to take it home with me at the end of the day. I cherish this mug so much, as it is from my mother’s kitchen, in which I drank several cups of coffee with her from that very mug. I have now been drinking out of it whenever strength is needed for the day, which is most days!
As women, I just want to say that I gain strength, courage and knowledge from you! Happy Mother’s Day to all of you, as we all bring something to the table that helps “mother” one another.
What is your “mug”? What thoughts are you having about this upcoming weekend?
Love,
Tammy
