May is National Speech-Language-Hearing Month, and we’re shining a spotlight on an important part of our care team at Gateway Vista—our Speech Language Pathologists, Laura and Sarah! 💙🗣️

Did you know that Gateway Vista has Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs)? SLPs play a vital role in senior living by helping residents improve and maintain communication, cognition, and swallowing abilities.

Our SLPs work with residents who may experience challenges related to speech, language, memory, problem-solving, voice, or swallowing due to illness, injury, stroke, neurological conditions, or aging. They help residents strengthen skills that support safety, confidence, independence, and quality of life—whether that’s improving communication with loved ones or making mealtimes safer and more enjoyable.

Please join us in welcoming Dani Roseberry, the new Director of Admissions at Gateway Vista! 💙

Dani grew up in Halsey, Nebraska, in the Sandhills and is a graduate of the University of Nebraska at Kearney. She spent many years living and working in Kearney before recently relocating to Lincoln.

Dani brings extensive experience in healthcare sales and marketing, with a background that includes pharmaceutical sales, hospice, home health, independent and assisted living, and memory care. Her passion for helping individuals and families navigate important healthcare decisions makes her a wonderful addition to the Gateway Vista team.

We are excited to have Dani’s knowledge, compassion, and leadership as part of our community. Welcome, Dani! 👏

This past week, we celebrated the retirement of Kathy, our incredible Occupational Therapist at Gateway Vista! 💙🎉Kathy has been part of the Gateway family for more than 8 years and has dedicated 25 years to helping others as an Occupational Therapist. Throughout the years, she has touched countless lives with her compassion, encouragement, and caring heart.

During her retirement celebration, residents shared heartfelt stories about the many ways Kathy made a difference in their lives and helped them regain confidence and independence. Her kindness and dedication will leave a lasting impact on our community.
