It truly warms our hearts to hear from so many patients who have come to know NHO as a place of compassion, support, and hope. Providing exceptional care while making every patient feel valued and supported is what we strive for in each and every interaction. We are honored to be part of their journey and grateful for the trust they place in us.

On Clinical Trials Day, we recognize the incredible work happening through NHO Revive Research Institute and the impact clinical research has on advancing cancer care in our community.

Clinical trials are essential to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care — giving patients access to innovative therapies and cutting-edge treatments close to home, without the need to travel to distant academic centers. Just as importantly, every study offered through NHO Revive is carefully selected to meet rigorous scientific and ethical standards, always prioritizing patient safety, quality of life, and better outcomes.

In 2025, NHO enrolled 52 patients onto clinical studies. As of May 15, 2026, 23 patients have already enrolled this year, helping expand treatment options and bringing hope to more patients and families across our region.

We are proud to continue growing opportunities for our patients through strong clinical research and remain committed to advancing cancer care right here in our community.

Every smile, every encouraging word, every moment of compassion matters. 💙

We’re honored to walk alongside our patients through every step of their journey, and reviews like this remind us why we do what we do. Thank you, Michael, for trusting Dr. Yiee and our team with your care.

At NHO, it’s more than treatment — it’s people caring for people.

Meet Kelly Arett. 💙

As a breast cancer survivor, Kelly knows firsthand how important it is to have a strong support system around you during every step of the journey. At NHO, she found a team that feels like family — people who show up, care deeply, and support one another through it all.

In this video, Kelly shares a little about her story and what makes being part of NHO so meaningful to her.

Say hello to Kenna, one of our Clinical Support Staff! 👋

Kenna plays an important role in creating a welcoming, comfortable experience for our patients from the moment they arrive for their provider visits. Whether it’s offering a friendly face, helping things run smoothly behind the scenes, or making sure patients feel at ease, she’s here to make every visit feel a little more like home. 🧡

We’re so glad to have her on the team—be sure to say hi when you see her around!

More about Kenna...

Where did you grow up?
I grew up here in Lincoln for the majority of my childhood. For a few years my family and I also lived on a small acreage in Firth where we had our horses and dogs.

Fun Fact about yourself:
A fun fact about myself is that I love to cook. From simple meals that take 20 minutes to make or a meal that could take 2 hours to make, I love to cook. Even when I was younger, I would beg my mom to let me cook dinner for the family. It's always been tradition for me to help make the thanksgiving meal every year with my grandma!

What was your very first job?
My very first job was at The Landing here in Lincoln where I worked in the Dining services for 3 years. I still talk about this job today because I say it's the reason I love taking care of people. I enjoyed working there because of the residents I was able to get close to. One of the coolest parts of the job was being able to listen to the residents' stories about things like their marriage and love stories, their careers, and the start of their families.

What’s your favorite holiday and why?
I would say my favorite holiday is Christmas because of the environment around the holiday. I also love Christmas because this is the holiday where all of our family from out of town get together to have big meals. I love the Winter and Christmas time because this is when I get to go all out with my decorations at my house!

Favorite Type of Music:
My favorite type of music would definitely be country music. I love both the old country and our newer country singers. This is a hard question though as I listen to all kinds of music depending on the mood.

What are your hobbies or things you like to do in your spare time?
The main thing I love to do in my spare time is line dancing with my friends. I always surprise people when I say that I go line dancing at least 3 days a week with friends. Sometimes it's those hard dances I love to learn, but doing a simple dance as a "country cha" does it for me! I started line dancing in 2022 and have been ever since.

If you could describe yourself as an animal, what would it be and why?
If I could describe myself as an animal, I would say I would be an otter. I love to be in the water, especially at the lake and just float around. I do also love to bring the energy to the people I am around. I think that I would be an otter because they are super friendly and I feel like I am one to always find someone to talk to and make a friend!

What is one thing you want to do at least once in your life?
Something I want to do in my life so bad is to sky dive! One thing I don't love is heights but something in me tells me that sky diving would be amazing.

What famous person would you most want to be friends with?
I would love to be friends with Pheobe from friends. I think being friends with her would be like a never-ending comedy show. I also think her bubbly personality would be fun to be around because it always keeps the mood up. I also feel like sometimes I feel like I am a Pheobe at heart.

What’s one thing you want everyone to know about you?
I want everyone to know that I love dogs! The easiest way to get me into a conversation is to show me a picture of your dog, tell me a funny story of your dogs, or even get me to talk about mine and I would be so happy.

What are you looking forward to the most about working at NHO?
I am looking forward to meeting a lot of new people and also being able to expand my learning. I don't have much of a background in Hematology / Oncology, so I am excited to start this new chapter and see where it takes me!

May is Skin Cancer Awareness Month ☀️

At NHO, we encourage you to take a moment to check your skin. New or changing spots shouldn’t be ignored — they’re worth a closer look.

If something doesn’t look or feel right, don’t wait. Early evaluation can lead to early detection, and that can make all the difference.

Your health matters. We’re here for you every step of the way.
