Welcome, Jeffrey! 🎉
As our new Clinical Trials Coordinator, he’ll be helping to expand treatment opportunities for cancer patients here at NHO. We’re so excited to have him join our growing research team!
More about Jeffrey:
Where did you grow up? I was born in Ord, Nebraska, and graduated from high school in Seward, Nebraska.
Fun fact about yourself: I coach kids' wrestling.
What was your very first job? Detasseling corn.
What’s your favorite holiday and why? The 4th of July. I love the summer fun, barbecuing and smoking meats, watching the kids light fireworks, and having friends and family get-togethers.
Favorite type of music: I really enjoy listening to electric blues.
What are your hobbies or things you like to do in your spare time? I spend most of my free time coaching wrestling all year round. I really enjoy being part of the boys' and girls' journey of working through adversity. I also enjoy barbecuing, smoking meats, and fishing.
If you could describe yourself as an animal, what would it be and why? A lion. Back when I was young, one of the MGM Studios lions retired, and it stayed at a special animal farm in Loup City, NE. When the lion passed away, my friend's dad, who was a taxidermist, had the lion stuffed for the owner because of their close bond. When the lion arrived at my friend's place, his dad called the school to have us come see it at his taxidermy shop. Since then, being up close to touch and feel the lion has made it my favorite animal.
As for describing myself as a lion, it’s not just a symbol of power; a lion embodies balance: bold yet calm, fierce yet thoughtful. That's how I see myself—steady, curious, and unafraid to face the unknown.
What is one thing you want to do at least once in your life? See the Earth from orbit.
What famous person would you most want to be friends with? Arnold Schwarzenegger. He is the ultimate achiever of whatever he puts his mind to.
What’s one thing you want everyone to know about you? My favorite thing in life is listening to others' life stories.
What are you looking forward to most about working at NHO? In the short time I’ve been here, it’s become very clear that this is a truly special place. I am very excited and grateful to be part of the fight.
