How nostalgic does it feel remembering Prom?? Look at our sweet resident's enjoying the glitz and glam of our Annual Senior Dance. Wow! We are proud and honored to announce that Sumner Place has been recognized as a 2025 Silver – Achievement in Quality Award recipient by the American Health Care Association. This award is the second of three distinctions possible through the AHCA/NCAL National Quality Award Program, which recognizes providers across the nation that have demonstrated improved quality outcomes for staff, residents, and individuals with disabilities in long-term and post-acute care.

We had the honor of welcoming Dr. Julie Masters, Gerontologist, to Sumner Place today to spread her wealth and knowledge of aging and gerontology. She has a passion for promoting healthy aging, end-of-life planning, healthy aging, and more!

Our team loved hearing from Julie and are so grateful she came to spread the word about aging - embrace the aging process! Also, it’s never too late for more education.

Today we had a “Taste of Home” celebration where we asked residents to share a family recipe for our culinary team to prepare. We all sampled the recipes and were able to learn more about our residents and their family traditions!
