Happy Saturday from up river!! The weather today is going to be amazing!!

I do want to start with saying Happy Anniversary to do to my loving best friend, biggest support and rock Jeff Greene, happy 22 years my love!!

Congratulations to both Pell City Panthers and Lincoln Bears on great wins last night!!

OK lots to know and do this weekend:

1. This morning from 8 to 1 Rachel Spates is having an amazing yard sale at 70 White Way Drive, Cropwell, you could even hit this by boat!! Rachel Jefferson Spates

2. LAST CALL at the Tiki hut!! After Monday it will next summer until you get that amazing burger and tiki drinks! They are having bands this weekend and last call today will be the end of the Bama game. The Tiki Hut

3. The 43 Rodeo but on by Broken Arrow Rodeo- guys this is a great thing that raises money for local scholarships.
7pm inside the St. C lair County Arena in Odenville. Cash only at the gate.

4. The Nashville Road Show- CEPA for more info but lots of great music at the Pell City Sports Complex. Starts at 530 pm to 10 pm today!! Go enjoy some amazing music lake front!

5. Pirate starting at 830am to 11am today will have breakfast!! Happy Hour 2-6 with Game day Specials. Live music Sunday starting at 3-6pm. Got to get those burnt ends, they were great!!

Mid 80's, sunshine and no rain...get out and enough the world around you...of course there will plenty of places with football on today!

Happy Saturday from up River!!!!

You made it, it's Saturday!!

Let me start by saying happy birthday to 2 of my favorite Pell City people Anna Emerick and Tamra Butterfield!! Hope you to have an awesome day!!

OK food this week well I had a craving for donuts so I visited Brian over at daylight donuts and go a cinnamon twist..MAN those are amazing!! Then I had to check out all excitement of Licking Good Donuts over in Lincoln...let's just say now I remember why I had to loose 70 pounds. Stop in and support both these local guys you will not regret it!

SHRIMP BOIL TODAY!! Wade over at Butt's to go let me know his Moody location will be having a shrimp boil today!!

So here's what's up today:

1. Lincoln Summer Concert Series- last one!! Deputy 5 will be playing!! Starts at 6pm, completely free!! Bring some chairs- 722 Magnolia St, Lincoln.

2. POKER RUN!! Registration starts at 1030 to 1130 at Pier 59!! Benefits the Logan Martin Civitan club!! I hear Rodney's Marine will have some great boats to check out!

3. Docks Bar and Grill is open at 10am for Saturday Brunch!! Check out the menu on their FB Page

4. MOVING Sale!! 27 Mimosa Row, Pell City

5. Aztecas Mexican Grill has breakfast today and tomorrow starts at 730 am to 1030am!!

Upcoming- Go on FB and check out the Boo Bash on LML 2025 page, it's coming up quick!! October 5th...can't wait to see those costumes!!

And you mud riding, hill climbing side by side folks, TOP Trails OHV Park has party in the park next weekend with some killer bands!!

Happy Saturday from well Talladega Creekside this morning.
Talladega Creekside Resort

We decided to get one last float trip in, we absolutely love this place! There are cabins you can rent so its great to get some friends together, float, cookout and just enjoy some fellowship.

Also to through some food in there right up the road you MUST try Big Daddy's BBQ. It is amazing burgers, bbq and the fixings!

So here is what is going on to:

1. The Black Jacket Symphony will be at the CEPEA tonight at 730pm doing Jimmy Buffett. They do an amazing job so this should be a great show!

2. World's Longest yard sale!! This is always an adventure! Starting around Gadsden I have found some great stuff over the years!!

3. 2025 Alabama Jeep Jam & Ducked up Competition today- 6755 Curry Station Road, Eastaboga

4. LARGE CAR SHOW happening today at the Shops of Grand River

5. Courtyard Pell City will have live music this afternoon starting at 5pm!!

Just a reminder coming up next weekend is Logan Martin Civitan Club 15th annual Poker Run- Register at Pier 59- yall look up Pier 59 on FB miss Deb has all the info!!

Turner Family Farms is looking for seasonal help if you are looking for a side job or have a kid looking.

Also Boo Bash is coming up and registration is open if you want to be part of it from land.

Happy Saturday from up River!!

What a week, I'll be honest I'm no even sure if I remember any Coldplay songs sssoo guess I'm safe on that one..ha ha

I do want to say thank to Greg Crump for your years of service to our community, wishing you well on your next chapters!!

Both Pell City and Lincoln football teams have been working hard in this heat so I'm excited to see all their hard work payoff this year, hard to believe we are just a few weeks from school.

So food this week well date night I had the Asian wings at The Tavern at The St Clair which were surprising hotter than I expected but very good.

I do want to suggest B's Grill also on Hwy 34...man everything is good there and that baked potato is more than I can eat!!

So here we go, what to do:

1. Pell City Bulls on the Lake!! At the sports complex, gates open at 5pm, $20 tickets and bull riding starts at 8pm. (as a person married to a prior bull rider I love these!!)

2. Watermelon Festival!! Howard Family Holiday Farm starting at 9am. Crafts, food trucks, vendors and a ice cream eating contest!! Located at 3706 Moody Parkway, Moody

3. Lincoln Summer Concert Series tonight!! Free event starts at 6pm located at 722 Magnolia St, Lincoln. Night Train starts at 6pm. Food trucks will be there so bring a chair and enjoy!

LOTS of stuff going on and info today..

First Congratulations to Keith Clements and Ginny Lou..it's wedding day! Happy 40th Ben Bludsworth!!

If you missed it as part of a restocking program there were 20,000 largemouth bass released into Lake Logan Martin yesterday!!

so lots to do today!!
1. Dam Palooza- starts at 11am, come tie up at the dam and enjoy live music from 90 Proof and DJ-IV.

2. 2nd Annual Rodeo & Rhythm at Greensport- 130 Greensport, Ashville. Doors open at 5pm for rodeo, Rodeo stars at 7pm. Music to follow after.
Justin Jeansomme playing- he opens for Red Cay Straights!!!!

3. Lincoln Summer Concert Series starts at 6pm in Randolph Park
Free event!! Tonight featuring Stay Tuned (one of my personal favs) bring a chair or a blanket enjoy win prizes while enjoying an awesome band!!

4. Bella Vista Winery Grand opening!! Opens today at 11am- 1155 Walkers Crossing, Pell City
Go enjoy a wine tasting and some snacks

5. Rushing Springs Baptist Church is having a big in door yardsale!! 9796 Stemley Rd, Lincoln

July 3rd- Clear Creek and Back The Back Porch Restaurant on Logan Martin starts at dark

July 4th- City of Pell City at dark (always a big deal) over at the city park...amazing by water to see all the boats!

City of Ashville at the square is having fireworks at dark but also starting at 3pm food trucks and vendors down town

Greensport Marnia fireworks at 9pm

July 5th- River's Edge Marina and Tiki Hut starting at 630pm will have live music and fireworks at 9pm

Lincolns Lincoln's Landing at 9pm- tune into to 94.1 FM The River for music with the show

Happy beautiful sunny Saturday from up river!!

Who is excited today to get today and just enjoy the day?

First today I want to say good luck to Garrett and Graham Knight of the PCHS Fishing team, they are heading out to Oklahoma to represent in Nationals. Best of luck boys and lines tight!!

Other exciting news, Blue i Eatery just announced they will be opening in the Betty's Cafe location in Lincoln. A little remodeling and they will open, welcome back guys!!

Congrats to Justin Burns as the new superintendent of Pell City Schools, I've had the pleasure in Leadership St. Clair County spending time with Mr. Burns and he brings some great energy!!

Food wise- if you are out and about this morning swing by Aztecas in Pell City and check out there breakfast!! The 27th they are teaming up with the Houston Project and Aztecas are teaming up to feed Veterans and first responders, what a great thing!! So let's so them some love!!

As far as events this weekend is kind of slow but next week...WOW more stuff to do than you can get in!!

So today from 7-10 at go to Pier 59 and check out live music with Aslen Weaver- she is fantastic!!

Talladega Creekside is having a family funday!! So go grab a tube and enjoy- 760 Lake Whitland Dr, Talladega (one of my favorite things to do!!

Happy Saturday from well Fort Morgan this morning. Quick trip for the Greene household.

1st I want to say I was sad this morning to hear Betty's Cafe in Lincoln will be closing on June 20th, I just loved their Almond Joy coffee....make sure you swing by before they close and give it a try!!

Food wise this week for date night we rode down to the Porky Pirate but unfortunately didn't get to try it, still excited about trying it, I've heard good this.

I would suggest if your out on the water stop by and don't forget Piece of the Pie next store. Defiantly some great choices down river!! Also don't forget about The Ark, great seafood but that burger is my fav!!

If your out and about on land I saw a few yard sales going including one at 130 Fish Trap Dr, Cropwell.....stop by and tell miss Angie hello!!

So here is what's going on today:
1. 16th Annual Riverside Poker Run- Register at Riverside Landing starts at 1 cards due back by 2.

2. Courtyard Pell City will have The Jake Dial Band today 6-9pm

3. GBAHB Poker run- out of the Tiki Hut down on Rabbit Branch. Check in at 10am starts at 11am till 4pm. There is also an after party from 4-6pm (tell JK we sent you :) )

4. Pell City 2nd Saturday Cruise in starts today at 5pm located at the movie theater.

Stay tuned this week for 2 unsung hero's, one from Pell City and one from Lincoln. These are people in our lives that are just good people that make a difference in the lives around us. Just your everyday person who sometimes not knowingly spread some real awesomeness in everyday life!

Happy Saturday from up river and it's Masters Weekend!!

This means the golfer's at my house will be egg salad, pimento cheese and hitting golf balls all over my yard saying how they should have went pro 🤣

So if you are not a golfer according to Spann the man its going to be a day of sunshine but definitely grab a light jacket!! Let's get to it:

1. Lincoln Summer Concert Series starts today at Randolph Park (over by Betty's). Gates open at 5pm and Gold City starts signing at 6pm. This is a premier gospel group! There will be food trucks like The Classic Melt so you can have dinner and a show. Event is free, just bring your chairs and enjoy!

2. Plant Sale- 830am to 1230pm today at Pell City Recreation Hall, 414 19th St South, Pell City brought to you by St. Clair County Master Gardeners

3. Sunday- April 13 from 11am to 4pm is 2nd Sunday Vendor Palooza, 6755 Curry Station Rd, Eastoboga. This event will have pop-up vendors, arts and crafts, woodworking and more.

4. Art on the Lawn at Heritage Hall Museum located in Talladega. live music, food and art! Starts at 11am today until 3pm

5. Hot Rods & Handlebars Car Show- starts at 10am to 2pm today located at 223 Wolf Creek N, Pell City

Yard sale alerts today:

Food this week:
Honestly I've been wanting some good ole BBQ so my pick this week is going to be the Shack up on 34, sometimes there is just nothing like a good side of the road hole in the wall kind of place.

I did get the pleasure of meeting the owner and taking a tour of the new Black Tulip coming to Lincoln this week. They have some wonderful ideas and I'm super excited to see it all come together. I'll have more updates.

Happy Saturday from up River!!

It's going to be a beautiful day and there is lots going on!!

First I want to say all our prayers and thoughts are with you all the folks at Blue i Eatery, very sad news watching all the hard work come to an end.

So let's start with food today
1. Coosa Cafe & Creamery- I got the pleasure of stopping by this weekend for treat! That Apple Oatmeal cookie was off the chain! They are offering more than just sweets, they are featuring a breakfast and lunch menu!! Work the stop at the corner of Rabbit Branch Road!

2. Kami Thai Sushi & Fusion- now open at the Publix shopping center. We tried it last night and the Chicken Fried Rice was great, really great flavor! The fam had the Rainbow Rolls and said it was fresh and amazing.

3. Butts to Go- after a little set back Wade and the crew are back up and running and having a Crawfish & Shrimp Boil today starting at 10 am!

So here are some things to do today:
1. Logan Martin Lake Clean Up- Locations
Lakeside Park, Clear Creek Marina, Riverside Landing, Wood's Surfside, Blue I Eatery, Coosa Island Marina- If you love the lake let's keep it clean!!

2. Spring Clean up for Pell City Residence- from 7am to 6pm today and tomorrow 1pm to 5pm- you will have the chance to get rid of those unwanted items- over at the street department Roll off dumpsters will be available. Check The City of Pell City fb page for what is accepted and all details.

3. Community Easter Egg Hunt- Lakeside Park- this event is schedule tomorrow from 3 to 430, hosted by the Pell City Parks & Rec. I know the weather may be wet so check any updates on their fb page.

4. Are you a motorcycle rider? Join the Wings of Gold Pell City Chapter today for a benefit ride, all proceeds go to Pell City Boys and Girls club. Registration starts at 10am at 405 19th Street South, Pell City. Cars are welcome to!

5. Lincoln Alabama Family Day starts at 9am today 1584 Hollys Hills Road, Lincoln
Games and fun for all the kids with concessions.

6. Pickle Ball Clinic today starting at 9am and 1pm the St. Clair Count Alabama Event Center- 498 Arena Dr, Odenville

7. Spring Festival 9am to 4pm- 41188 US Hwy 411, Ashville
at the Carter's Country Store. Arts, crafts and more.

Few other things to know- Lackey Muffler's has moved to 20 Meadow Springs Road, Pell City

Happy Saturday from up river!! Little late posting today but got some much needed rest this morning.

So what's in everyone's mind this week is snow...Span the man just posted we are on the line for that 1-2 to 2-4 inch range. As a girl born and raised here in Alabama I can tell you for sure no one really knows!! BUT one thing is for sure it's going to be brutal cold...so drip water, keep the heat on, wrap the pipes, go to the store and check on your neighbors!!

School wise Prom tickets for both Pell City and Lincon are available to purchase, along with year books.
Congratulations to Malik Watts of the Pell City Wrestling team on his 150th win..WOW

Lincoln High School is asking for donations of Professional Attire for some students so check out there FB page and help if you can.

Congratulations to Pell City's Emory Cox for being appointed to Donlad Trumps staff!!

So let's get to it here are some things to do today:

1. Do your farewell post on Tik Toc...tomorrow is the day

2. Go visit the animal shelter in Pell City, I was able to take a personal tour yesterday and ask questions, and play with some puppies while I was there. I post them because if you have questions and concerns why not just see it.

3. Poor House Branch Marina is having a boat show today!! Stop by until 5pm

4. There is a Dolly look alike contest tonight at The Dew Drop In in Margaret, that might be a good laugh, starts at 8pm

5. Food wise, we tried Giovanni's in Sylacauga last night...WOW guys this place was incredible!!

6. Southern Trade Days Lincoln happening now at Talladega Speedway until 430. Vendors, Food, Live Music and Kids Entertainment.

Happy Saturday morning from well a winter wonderland up river!!

Being born and raised in Alabama snow days are rare and if we are going to have one this one was ideal. Enough snow to really enjoy, get out have fun and be beautiful but warm enough it starts melting the next day and the roads clear up. I hope you all enjoyed it and got out and had fun!!

I want to congratulate the Duran Track Team, this is a new program and these guys had a stand out day at the Birmingham Sports Plex.

The Girls Basketball team won this week against Shades Valley 50 to 46!

If you haven't hear about Ms. Osborne's Math class, she is doing some pretty cool stuff at the high school where she is inviting in people from all different jobs to help her Math class figure out what their next step after high school is, how to get there and how math will effect them. Great job Ms. Osborne by getting outside the box!

On the Lincoln side of the bridge Congrats to the LHS Cyber team finishing 1st place in State and 4th over all in the United States..impressive!

Now what to do today, Stay Warm, stay safe. Main roads appear pretty clear.

1. Betty's Cafe in Lincoln starting at 10am is having their 2nd Saturday Mama Gathering- so mama's taking those babies and go fellowship

2. If you love the Temptations check out Aint to proud to beg today at the Oxford Performing Arts Center at 2pm and 730pm(you can get tickets online)

Looks like some events for this weekend have been canceled so as always if you know something, post it!

Happy Saturday from up River!! Hope you all are enjoying a new year with 365 new opportunities! I hope you are all keeping an eye on the weather this coming week, it's going to be cold one! Check on your friends and neighbors and make sure everyone has a heat source of some type, it would not hurt check all those Buddie heaters and make your you go gas on hand just in case)yes I lived through 93 and it shows..haha) So what else is going on in our world today?

Well let me congratulate the PCHS Wrestling and Lincoln Wrestling teams as they continue to have a wonderful season!! Also the girls PCHS are bringing home hardware from several tournaments lately!!

Congrats to Hunter Alldredge of Lincoln FFA he has earned the National FFA SAE Grant!
PCHS FFA has earned Gold National Chapter Award! Congratulations!

I also want to say I know for the Pell City Community lately we have lost some great members of our community and it was very hard to hear about the passing of Lisa Funderburg, please pray over each other and show kindness and love to those around you, we are never promised tomorrow.

We are getting a Outback, Longhorn and Olive Garden and Kami so I hear and I've been following along with the restaurant coming to Lincoln at the old Still Here, sounds like we are getting some good food coming in!

As far events today honestly guys I've hunted and can't find much so if you know something please post it. Got Netflix and chill ideas since it's cold, through those out to.
