Salt Creek Residents are still raving about this week's mocktail! You see, every Monday afternoon we have a special drink tasting courtesy of Kinley - a treasured member of our Culinary Team.

Our most recent "Monday Mocktail" was the "Autumn Delight" mixed drink. The recipe is a little bit secret, but according to inside sources...it may have featured apple cider, pumpkin puree and some seasonal spices.

Special drink and food tastings on a regular basis help every day to feel delicious at our Community!

We know we are biased, but we think this view is one of the loveliest in our city!

Good morning! We thought we'd start your Friday off with a unique picture of the sunrise!

Morning sunshine is peeking over our Salt Creek Community and gently waking up two of our transportation vehicles. Yesterday, a bus escorted a group of Residents to a Perkins Restaurant for a delightful brunch outing. This afternoon, another group will go to HyVee. Other people might enjoy rides to another shopping destination or an appointment.

As our Community wakes up, you can feel all the possibilities of the day being full of fun, adventure and fellowship...especially when the sunrise is extra beautiful like the one this morning.

Wednesday afternoons at Salt Creek are filled with music. Our weekly sing-a-long today was extra special as we enjoyed a Patriotic theme, a tribute to Veterans Day.

All Military Branches were honored as we, once again, thanked those who served our country with such bravery.

Local children wrote heartfelt cards of thanks which we all enjoyed reading. And, the fresh flowers we featured on our dining room tables were red, white and blue this week.

Today we are honoring the brave men and women who have served and continue to serve our country. We have the deepest gratitude for their sacrifices. Join us in expressing our appreciation to the veterans in our lives and communities.

Salt Creek is honored to feature several activities this week to help show gratitude to all the Veterans we serve.

Today, we enjoyed fellowship together as we shared stories behind some precious mementos, items that reflect notable military careers and experiences. A red, white and blue beverage was also enjoyed this afternoon with one another.

Salt Creek had two especially wonderful guests this week! The Lancaster County Chorus delighted us with their amazing music. Also, Ryan Sothan, from the Nebraska Attorney General's Office gave us an insightful presentation on scams that can threaten our personal information.

Both features were deeply appreciated!

Thank you to Wendy, Jan and Donna from the Lancaster County Chorus and to Mr. Sothan from the Attorney General's Office for making our week a little extra delightful!

Salt Creek hosted a wonderful Halloween Party this week! There were decorated doors, costumed friends, spirited treats and a little trick at the ice cream station. (Vanilla and Chocolate got switched by the Culinary Team -- because who doesn't like a "trick" that always ends in ice cream!)

Thank you to everyone who made the Halloween Holiday so happy!
