We found some inspiration in learning that today is "World Art Day" and arranged for a little evening feature everyone can enjoy!

Tonight in our sunroom, Salt Creek's art display presents pictures and pottery items.

Of course, we also have several lovely works of art in our hallways we enjoy each and every day.

Interestingly, April 15th was chosen as "World Art Day" to honor the birthdate of Leonardo da Vinci.

Salt Creek hosted our monthly "New Resident Social" today where everyone gets to meet their neighbors and connect with new friends!

And of course...everyone gets to enjoy delicious treats. We LOVE delicious afternoon treats. Emilio made the most AMAZING desserts for us today. You can check out the photo...and we apologize for all the capitalized words. But Emilio's desserts really are CAPITAL word worthy!

Salt Creek is featuring some special Sunday highlights today as we honor the 2026 Masters Golf Tournament being played in Augusta, Georgia.

Delicious Egg Salad sandwiches are one of the lunch options Residents and guests will enjoy. Also, unique centerpieces were constructed this morning courtesy of some very special guests.

A few more golf highlights are expected tomorrow, too!

Friday at Salt Creek was filled with gorgeous Spring colors!

There may have been a bright mini piñata offered at afternoon Bingo for a prize...or maybe three prizes! The fresh yellow flowers smiled at everyone from the dining tables over lunch. Pretty pastel mints were served at this afternoon's social gathering. Live piano music made the deliciously-sweet Azalea mocktails featured glow a little louder with a captivating pink shade.

What a stunning array of colors to make an April afternoon feel perfect!

Salt Creek would like to thank our guest speakers from the Lincoln City Library today! We learned about the various programs our wonderful local library offers and are excited for several of their upcoming program opportunities!

Salt Creek held it's first "Egg-cellent" Competition today.

As we continue to feature events around the upcoming Easter holiday, there was a new challenge this afternoon right before Social Hour.

Three Team Members...each representing a different department...tried to re-create their own hard-boiled egg tulip using limited supplies. Audience members came early and secured their seats. When time was up, they voted on the winner. Emily was the victor, this time. But the banter and laughs made everyone feel a little bit extra fabulous. Thanks to Joe, Emily and Jeremy for being such great sports at our first culinary challenge. (We had so much fun, I think we're going to do this again next month!)

Tonight, Residents will share their favorite April Fool's Day tales with one another! We know the laughter will be joyful. And we will all have a little more mischief in our eyes after sharing these special stories together.

Earlier today, several Residents also did some "bird watching." Both the "real" kind with binoculars near the beautiful wooded area behind our community...but also the "pretend" kind with a lovely, blue parrot. (The parrot is gorgeous - but he's also made out of metal. So, not a lot of watching was truly necessary as he stayed pretty much in one place and just watched us right back in return.)

We hope your April Fool's Day helps everyone around you smile and enjoy a wonderful joke together!

The "Peeps" at Salt Creek say Easter is getting closer and they are looking forward to the festivities!

Yesterday, we enjoyed a Virtual Hike of Easter Island and learned some interesting facts about this destination. Thank you to Sheri from Sunlight Senior Care for hosting this "outing."

Also, Tri Delt Ladies joined us for a fabulous "Buddy Bingo" with lots of Easter-themed prizes on Friday, as well. We had a great time with everyone in their group and thank Krista for helping to arrange the joyful connections!

This morning, colorful Peeps watched as we carefully tucked chocolates in eggs in anticipation for an upcoming Egg Hunt. Fresh and colorful centerpieces were crafted today, too.

The Peeps will all hop away later this afternoon...but we'll see them again soon.

Dial Senior Living Regional Director, Hannah, took a group of people from Salt Creek on a special outing today...and we want to tell you all about it!

A group of adventurers enjoyed the nearby town of Seward, Nebraska in perfect springtime temperatures and with gorgeous sunshine.

The view of the Courthouse was beautiful. Shopping at Chapters Books & Gifts store was wonderful, too. Shop owner, Kelley, was especially amazing to chat with as we bought our treasures.

Our group checked out a number of stores around the Courthouse and then enjoyed a delicious lunch at a nearby Mexican restaurant. Then, we cruised town a bit and saw farm machinery, baseball fields, checked out a nearby winery...and even made a quick stop at Branched Out to check out the lake and the pelicans.

Salt Creek would like to thank a special visitor for dropping by this afternoon.

Bo is a very special Therapy Dog...and he gave us some wonderful snuggles that truly melted our hearts. His friend, Justine, told us that last week he "read" to the kids at a local library. The youngsters adored how he put his little paw on the book and helped with telling the story selections.

It's quite possible we might have Bo read to us next month, too! I mean, really, we just can't resist the idea! We do have some wonderful library nooks here at Salt Creek we think he'd really enjoy.
