Nebraska Society for Respiratory Care

Nebraska Society for Respiratory Care The NSRC is a chartered affiliate of the American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC).

When you become a member of the AARC you automatically become a member of the NSRC. In Nebraska, respiratory therapists can be found across the state in hospitals, home health agencies, sub-acute care facilities, doctor’s offices, schools and universities and wherever needed to improve breathing for their patients. Nebraska Society for Respiratory Care (NSRC) board members are therapists elected by the Nebraska respiratory membership of the American Association of Respiratory Care (AARC) and the Nebraska Society of Respiratory Care.

🎉 WE'RE NUMBER 11! 🎉

A major milestone for respiratory therapists in Nebraska!

Today, Governor Pillen signed the Respiratory Care Interstate Compact (RCIC) bill today, an important step forward for our profession and for patients across the state. This achievement reflects the ongoing advocacy and leadership of AARC and NSRC, working to advance respiratory care.

Thank you to every respiratory therapist who advocated, wrote letters, and made their voice heard throughout this process. Progress like this happens when we come together!

Special recognition to NSRC Vice President and Legislative Chair Heather Nichols for her leadership and dedication in this effort.

📣 The Respiratory Care Interstate Compact (RCIC) is official with the passage of the 7th and 8th states today!

AARC, in collaboration with the Council of State Governments (CSG) and the Department of Defense (DoD), is proud to announce the formal launch of the RCIC, which now establishes the Respiratory Care Interstate Compact Commission. This initiative marks a new era for the respiratory therapy profession, streamlining licensure across state lines to improve patient care and address critical healthcare staffing shortages.
